Crown Jewel - Aroma Audio Jewel

Today again a little unboxing of our new products from Aroma Audio. 

It starts with the current flagship: the "Jewel" - and it doesn't just look like a jewel, it sounds like one too! At least it made it to the top of my personal best list straight away. This had been occupied by the same IEM for about a year and a half! Now it has to share the top position with the “Jewel”.😅

A look inside provides insight: We are dealing with approx. 2kg of solid aluminum - milled from a single piece. They're serious about protecting their jewel!

But how does this thing work? After 10 unsuccessful minutes and using a screwdriver, I called a colleague who already owned the "Jewel"...

The solution to the puzzle: Press on the lid and slide it to the right - very easy! 😅😁

The interior reveals an elegant handmade leather case which contains the cable and a set of eartips - and of course the "crown jewel" itself.

The included cable is nice, but in my opinion it doesn't quite do justice to the look or sound of the "Jewel". Here I would wish that Aroma Audio would invest the money in a better cable rather than a “tank box”. 

You can't complain about the workmanship quality of the Jewel IEMs and the leather case - it's all at the highest level and you can definitely expect that given the price!

Immediately a dream pair for me: the “Jewel” and the Cayin N8II! 

If you now add a suitable cable - for example the Satin Audio Athena 8x or something similarly high-quality, you are closer to seventh audio heaven than ever before: That's Summit- Fi, so absolutely great!

How does the whole thing sound??

Well, it's not that easy to put into words. For me personally like 
the child of Empire Ears Odin and Oriolus Traillii. This means that the “Jewel” combines the strengths of both top IEMs in one in-ear and that is a true masterpiece in itself! 

It dissolves extremely finely, is airy with a good portion of “sparkle” on top. Voices are a bit emphasized but very natural with wonderful "verve" and the bass section is a dream thanks to a specially developed subwoofer (DD): emphasized mid-bass and an incredibly rich sub-bass are just incredibly fun without masking the other frequencies - on the contrary: they are supported and elevated on this sublime foundation.

In addition, a stage that represents serious competition for the Traillii and a presence that wobbles on the throne of Odin. This is pure musicality and emotion!

Of course you could say that Odin and Traillii can do one thing or another a bit better. However, that is entirely in the eye of the beholder or in the ears of the respective music lover.

One thing is clear to me: the "Jewel" is an incredibly successful in-ear at the highest level, in any case completely at the top - where desire becomes extremely thin! And for many it will be or will become their personal endgame IEM.
