Here at Audio Essence, we not only offer the best personal audio products, we also ship them worldwide.

Since we're always asked questions about shipping, taxes, warranties, and service, we'd like to explain everything in detail below. We also have a few money-saving tips for you.

Shipment

We ship internationally, i.e. worldwide, and offer two shipping models.

1) Standard shipping with Swiss Post

Shipping with the Swiss Post is generally very reliable and usually takes 3-7 days, depending on the destination. Since the Swiss Post only transports packages to the respective border, the shipping time and reliability also depend on your local postal service (e.g., the German Post in Germany, the Italian Post in Italy, etc.).

Standard shipping is staggered according to purchase price:

  • 0 to 499 CHF total goods value: 30 CHF
  • From 500 CHF Total goods value: for free

2) DHL Express Shipping

Shipping with DHL Express is faster (usually 1-3 days depending on the destination) and very secure and reliable. DHL is not dependent on other service providers. However, shipping with DHL Express is significantly more expensive than shipping via postal service.

For example, a parcel to Germany with Swiss Post costs the equivalent of approximately EUR 30. With DHL Express, it costs at least EUR 70, and for far-flung destinations, it costs over EUR 100. However, we do not charge our customers the full price, only a surcharge.

If customers have a purchase price of over 500 Swiss francs, the surcharge for DHL Express is approximately 30 EUR.

VAT & customs duties

Since different VAT and customs duties apply in almost every country, we are unfortunately unable to include these directly in the purchase price for our customers outside of Switzerland and Liechtenstein.

The prices displayed for international and EU customers do not include taxes, so that when importing into countries outside Switzerland and Liechtenstein, local VAT and, if applicable, a customs clearance fee will be added.

How to save

1 ) Since we have no influence on the automatic currency conversion in the shop, it is always worth asking us what price we can offer for a product. We calculate the price for you according to the current exchange rates. This means you often pay less than what is shown in the shop.

2) PayPal and credit card payments result in high fees for us. Firstly, PayPal and the banks charge a payment fee of 2-3% of the purchase price. Secondly, the banks and PayPal internally calculate a very unfavorable exchange rate, resulting in additional exchange rate losses.

We prefer to pass the money on to our customers in the form of discounts!

If you pay via bank transfer instead of PayPal or credit card, we will give you an additional discount of at least 3-5% on the purchase price.

This means that even if you are shopping from Germany, for example, and still have to pay 19% VAT on an imported product, it is still worth buying the product from us because with the tips mentioned above you will have already recouped at least half of the tax.

A calculation example

A customer from Germany would like to purchase a Noble Audio Fokus Prestige.

Product: Noble Audio Focus Prestige wireless IEMs.
Price in the online shop: 604.95 EUR (excluding taxes)

The customer contacts Audio Essence via email (info@audioessence.ch) or telephone (+41 77 403 35 26) and requests a personalized quote. He pays by bank transfer.

1) Current price: 1 USD = 0.89 EUR - Price: 532.09 EUR
2) Bank transfer: 3% discount on 532.09 EUR = 516,123 EUR

The customer has already saved EUR 88.82 on the purchase price. That's 14.7%!

Price including VAT and customs duties:

Without discount: 604.95 EUR + 19% VAT + approx. 20 EUR customs fees = 739.89 EUR
With discounts: 532.09 + 19% VAT + approx. 20 EUR customs fees = 653.18 EUR

You see, it's worth it. But that's not all!

Warranty & Service

At Audio Essence you get the full 2-year warranty on your product. If you purchase in the USA or China (or Asia), the local dealers are not obligated to provide a 2-year warranty. The local warranty in the USA is 1 year; in China, the dealer is not required to provide a warranty because it is not stipulated by law.

Should a defect actually occur, we will take care of everything so that you receive your product back as quickly as possible and you do not incur any further costs.
If you buy in America or Asia, you'll have to take care of everything yourself and cover the return shipping costs. In the worst case, you'll even have to pay for the repair yourself.
