The prince of the war - Noble Audio Shogun
The Noble Audio Shogun has finally arrived at Audio Essence. We've been waiting a long time for these new IEMs, and the wait was worth it.
I fell in love with these IEMs the moment I unboxed them. The design, craftsmanship, and ultimately the sound of these new flagship IEMs from Noble Audio far exceeded all my expectations.
I actually think these are the best IEMs Noble Audio has ever made! 🤩🙌😱 But more on that later.
Let's first take a look at the overall package...
Unlike its predecessor, the packaging no longer contains a Pelikan case, but an extremely high-quality case that contains the IEMs and all accessories.
I realize it's a matter of taste. But personally, I think the Shogun are by far the most beautiful (and arguably most striking) in-ears I've ever seen. You can immediately see how much effort and attention to detail went into the design. Simply stunning!
The enclosed cable was specially designed for the Shogun and fits perfectly both visually and acoustically. The plug is reminiscent of the hilt of a katana, a samurai sword.
In addition to IEMs and cables, there is also a box with ear tips, a small leather carrying case and a certificate of authenticity in the leather bag.
Noble has dispensed with useless extras and focused entirely on the best possible product of the highest quality - that's how it should be!
Now let’s get to my first sound impressions
As always, our loyal and incorruptible Lotoo Mjolnir The Mjlönir is neutral yet musically tuned and has a sound quality that can detect even the slightest inconsistency in the connected IEM or headphones. Let’s make it short: I can’t find any!
The sound is incredible detailed with soft highs, intense, sonorous mids and a wonderfully fast, structured, satisfying bass, which goes down deep but is never overwhelming. In our opinion, a pretty much perfect balance!
Oh yes, The soundstage is the best Noble has ever produced, with an extremely spatial, three-dimensional image. WOW!!!! 😱🙌🤩 In my opinion, only the Empire Ears Raven 2.0 completed. We're at the level of the best high-end over-ear headphones.
First conclusion
Noble Audio delivers with the Shogun Not only their latest flagship but the best in-ear monitor they have ever produced - and potentially my new personal number 1. 😍😁
The Shogun lives up to his name, presenting the music with sonic power and might, but also knowing the subtler tones. A brilliant all-rounder and virtuoso in his field.
After the rather neutral (and already really good) predecessor Ronin, Noble Audio is taking a new tuning direction with the Shogun and presenting a true flagship that has obviously incorporated all of their experience of the last few years and countless products.
Design, workmanship, accessories and of course the stunning sound form a complete package that is second to none and many competitors should brace themselves, because Noble Audio's warlords are not to be trifled with - but for interested customers they can have a lot of fun!
