KronJuwel - aroma audio jewel
Today we have another little unboxing of our new products from Aroma Audio.
We start with the current flagship: The "Jewel" - and it doesn't just look like a jewel, it sounds like one too! At least it made it to the top of my personal best list right away. This one had been occupied by the same IEM for about a year and a half! Now it has to share the top spot with the "Jewel."😅
A chic blue cardboard box with a golden Aroma Audio logo. Man, that's heavy! 😵 They are probably the heaviest IEMs of all time...🤣
A look inside reveals the truth: We're dealing with approximately 2 kg of solid aluminum, milled from a single piece. They're serious about protecting their jewel!
But how does this thing even open? After 10 fruitless minutes and using a screwdriver, I called a colleague who already owned the "Jewel"...
The solution to the puzzle: Press the lid and slide it to the right - it's that simple! 😅😁
The interior reveals a fine handmade leather case containing the cable and a set of eartips - and of course the "crown jewel" itself.
The included cable is nice, However, in my opinion, it doesn't quite do justice to the "Jewel" in terms of both appearance and sound. I wish Aroma Audio would invest the money in a better cable rather than a "tank box."
There's no way to complain about the build quality of the Jewel IEMs and the leather case - it's all top-notch, and that's to be expected given the price!
For me a dream couple right away: The "Jewel" and the Cayin N8II!
If you now add a suitable cable - for example the Satin Audio Athena 8x or something similarly high-quality, you are closer to seventh audio heaven than ever before: This is Summit-Fi, so absolutely top-notch!

So how does it all sound?
Well, that's not easy to put into words. For me personally,
the child of Empire Ears Odin and Oriolus Traillii. This means that the "Jewel" combines the strengths of both top IEMs in one in-ear, and that in itself is a true masterpiece!
It has an extremely fine resolution, is airy with a good portion of sparkle. Vocals are slightly accentuated but very natural with wonderful verve, and the bass section, thanks to a specially developed Subwoofers (DD) are a dream: accentuated mid-bass and an incredibly rich sub-bass are simply incredibly enjoyable without covering up the other frequencies - on the contrary: they are carried and highlighted on this sublime foundation.
Add to that a stage that represents serious competition for the Traillii and a presence that shakes Odin's throne. This is pure musicality and emotion!
Of course, one could say that Odin and Traillii can do one thing or another a bit better. But that's entirely in the eye of the beholder, or rather, in the ears of the individual music lover.
One thing is clear to me: the "Jewel" is an incredibly well-made in-ear of the highest quality, definitely at the top of its game – where the desire for something is extremely thin! And for many, it will be, or will become, their personal endgame IEM.
