We present our very first 18-AWG silver-plated copper conductor developed specifically for in-ear monitors (IEMs).

Through continual experimentation and the pursuit of maximum performance, we have created our strongest conductor to date. To achieve the desired ergonomics and performance, it was crucial to integrate proven core elements of our previous successful models into the XL conductor. Based on our distinctive Type-6 design, the increased cross-section enables a significant increase in the number of bundle groups to 36 (compared with just 6 bundles in a 26-AWG conductor). This virtually eliminates electrical resistance and optimizes output power, making the drive of all IEMs and headphones noticeably more efficient from any signal source.

We also use variable damping cores for the first time. These fulfill several functions: They maintain a uniformly round geometry for consistent conductivity, suppress mechanical vibrations to prevent interference or signal disruptions, and make the XL cable flexible enough for mobile use.

In addition, each individual strand is coated with enamel over the silver layer. This minimizes electrical anomalies such as skin and proximity effects and reliably protects the conductor from oxidation (the typical verdigris), ensuring that its elegant appearance is preserved for years. Our in-house outer insulation is among the best on the market and guarantees maximum flexibility and durability. After production, the XL cables undergo a cryogenic treatment to align the crystal boundaries more closely. The result: faster signal transmission with minimal distortion, low electrical resistance, and reduced background noise for consistently outstanding sound quality.

This exceptional 2-conductor cable uses one 18-AWG-XL conductor per channel and is versatile enough for a wide range of applications. Anyone looking for a performance cable that combines the sonic benefits of copper and silver with excellent ergonomics will find hardly any comparable alternative.
