ELISA in your pocket

ELISA is AUDMA’s patented system developed to reconstruct the primary interaural time difference (ITD) between the ears when listening to speakers, also on headphones.

It enables exact spatial control over the parameters STAGE (stage depth) and ANGLE (stage width/angle). This allows the spatial perception to be precisely adapted to the source material and the listener’s personal preferences.

The principle of ELISA technology (spatial sound simulation)

• Channel Processing (L+R): ELISA doesn’t just simply "reproduce" the sound like a normal amplifier. The system carefully mixes part of the right signal into the left channel (and vice versa), simulating what happens when listening to speakers in a real room. Through precisely calibrated delays and attenuations, phase accuracy and tonal clarity are maintained.

• The "Space Effect": ELISA virtually pulls the sound "out of your head" and places the instruments in depth and width in front of the listener – just like on a real soundstage in a studio or living room.
  
  

Design

The Brioso PHPA1 brings the full ELISA experience into a compact, portable format. It is designed to combine first-class, refined engineering with everyday user-friendliness.

Made from a solid aluminum housing with an anodized surface, the Brioso offers structural stability and a high-quality feel. Two silicone grip bands increase stability and ensure the device sits securely in the hand during mobile use.

Its pocket-sized design makes it a true high-end pocket amplifier, ready to deliver uncompromising performance anywhere.

Performance 

The BRIOSO PHPA1 delivers precise and stable amplification for a wide range of headphones – from highly sensitive in-ear monitors (IEMs) to the most demanding dynamic and magnetostatic (planar) headphones.

All inputs follow a uniform signal architecture, ensuring consistent behavior and reliable compatibility with various audio sources. Both analog and digital inputs are processed by the AKM combination of AK4499EXEQ and AK4191EQ and support high-resolution playback.

The rechargeable lithium battery guarantees up to 5 hours of listening time for extensive mobile use. A segmented LED display provides information about the current battery level.

Operation 

The BRIOSO allows easy adjustment to different listening scenarios through direct access to the ELISA parameters. Stage controls the perceived distance (stage depth), while Angle defines the width of the stage. The Bass control optimizes the sound behavior depending on the headphones used.

These push-pull potentiometers (rotary knobs) sit flush with the housing when not in use, preserving the clear and compact design. The main rotary knob is used for power on/off and volume control. ELISA can be activated via a dedicated button with an LED indicator that provides immediate visual feedback: blue means off, amber/yellow signals that the system is active.

Thanks to the switches on the back, you can ensure optimal tuning between the audio source and headphone sensitivity. This provides maximum dynamics with extremely low background noise.

The Brioso PHPA1 Luxury offers high-end amplification on the go in an exclusive, refined design.

Its aluminum housing is optionally plated with 18-karat yellow or white gold and decorated with a highly precise, laser-activated geometric pattern and the brand logo. Designed for those seeking the BRIOSO experience in its most distinctive and refined form.
