The HPA V550's function is limited to purely analogue values, namely the headphone playback and the preamplifier function.
The latest developments from the multiple test winners from Violectric and Niimbus were implemented in the headphone amplifier. The preamplifier functionality has also been raised to a new level in the V550.
So that you can concentrate on your listening pleasure, every function can be controlled via the remote control.
The HPA V550 corresponds to the test winner DHA V590 - but without a D/A converter.
Overview
- Least noise - due to a very small internal gain. This means that the amplifier's own noise is inaudible.
- High output voltage - due to 50 volt internal operating voltage. Therefore ideally suited for high-impedance headphones.
- High output power - through powerful amplifiers that can deliver far more power than even the most demanding headphones can need. Therefore ideal for headphones with low impedances and also magnetostats.
- High damping factor - due to lowest output impedance. Therefore ideally suited to controlling even the most difficult headphones without any influence, with a guarantee of an uncompromising frequency response.
- Remote control - Control the HPA V550 remotely with its elegant remote control milled from a single piece. Via infrared you get access to the motorized volume control, mute, input selection, resampling settings, headphone and line out control.
