Following the highly praised MEST Indigo, launched in 2022, Unique Melody returns after four years of intensive research and development. With refined craftsmanship and deeper acoustic insights, UM Indigo evolves into MEST Fortune – an elevated listening experience characterized by refinement, fortune, and discovery.
MEST Fortune is a hybrid in-ear monitor special edition developed by Unique Melody for the Lunar New Year 2026. It is available in red and violet colors, with worldwide production limited to 200 pieces.
Acoustic Architecture
MEST Fortune features a sophisticated hybrid setup with 10 drivers: - 1 dynamic driver (DD) for low frequencies, providing a solid foundation and quick transient response. - 4 balanced armature drivers (BA) for the lower to upper midrange, delivering density, clarity, and resolution.
- 2 electrostatic drivers (EST) for ultra-high frequencies, offering low distortion and excellent treble reproduction. - 3 UM hybrid bone conduction drivers serving as auxiliary drivers, enhancing bass perception and spatial dimension through vibration.
Core Technologies and Tuning Philosophy – Hybrid Bone Conduction Technology
Unlike conventional bone conduction designs, UM’s hybrid implementation is designed to work synergistically with air conduction drivers.
This cooperation enhances the depth and body of the sub-bass and contributes to a more three-dimensional soundstage. – Precise crossover network All drivers are integrated through carefully calculated crossovers, ensuring each driver operates within its optimal frequency range.
The result is smooth frequency transitions and a coherent sound character. – Tuning philosophy The entire tuning focuses on balance. The bass emphasizes texture and speed, the midrange features strong density and separation, while the treble highlights gentle extension and fine detail reproduction.
