Description

SupraCable has successfully taken the next step: reducing the influence of the mains on the stereo and video system. The main focus is to effectively suppress the harmful influence of direct current (DC) on alternating current (AC). This type of mains interference occurs in almost all modern living and working situations.

DC voltage components in the current are generated by almost all modern devices and "change" the clean sine wave of the alternating current - this so-called DC offset results from different absorption of the positive and negative half-wave of the alternating current. In perfect power supplies, no DC offset would occur.

DC offset reduces the effective operation of the power supplies and oversaturates the transformers or their iron core. It increases the temperature in the iron core and often causes transformers to hum. In addition, clean power can extend the life of your devices due to lower thermal load.

More important, however, is the sound impact! This can be very dramatic and even introduce sounds into the music that are not present in the original recording. After all, you want to enjoy unadulterated music and films without any sound impairment.

It is very easy to integrate into your home audio and video system. A ground connection is not absolutely necessary, but is highly recommended for other reasons.Your system will sound better and all other LoRad products will work perfectly together.

The DC blocker is specified at 16 amps and allows a power consumption of 3680 watts. The power cable is optional, but we naturally recommend the Supra 2.5mm² LoRad power cable for perfect results.

The DC blocker does not dampen dynamics under any circumstances! As soon as the sound becomes clearer and more precise, some music listeners perceive this as a reduction in dynamics due to the lack of interference. This perception due to the absence of errors is a frequently seen reaction.

Basically, the dynamics increase as soon as you keep disturbing network components away from the devices. The bass becomes more precise and the timing is optimized. Now even the finest structures in the bass reproduction, such as the resonance of eardrums, can be heard in unprecedented quality.

Important to note!
When connecting the DC blocker, please always follow the order below. First, always connect all power connections (LoRad power cable, LoRad power strip MD-XXXX MK3) and connect these to the DC blocker. Only then should you connect the DC blocker's power cable to the socket. When the system is disconnected from the power supply, please proceed in the reverse order. This ensures that any residual electrical voltage in the system is discharged.
