The XL Annorum connection cable is a further development of our legendary speaker cable of the same name. In the realization of this cable, aspects of the XL Annorum loudspeaker cable as well as design features of the Sword cable are combined.
The structure itself is very similar to the Sword-I, while the copper wire,
the damping and the rubberized sheath come from the XL Annorum speaker cable.
The aim of the development was to create a cable that is as free as possible from electromagnetic, dielectric and microphonic influences.
We were very pleased that the sound impression more than confirmed our technical development. No microphonic influences could be measured.
If you then add the If we add the sonic transparency of the Sword construction and the minimal phase shifts, we get a high-end cable at a mid-range price.
The biggest difference to its big brother Sword-I are the painted wires, which still make it a bit better, but also significantly more expensive.
Cables with coated strands are more difficult to solder because each wire must be stripped, which is not necessary with the XL Annorum Interconnect.
The XL Annorum is constructed with unpainted strands, which significantly reduces production costs.
- Transparent and dynamic sound
- Minimum phase-shifting reactance.
- Extremely low microphonic effect
- Robust & slim 24K gold-plated RCA connectors
The construction consists of two bifilar woven conductors made of 2 x 6 cores of bare, oxygen-free 5N copper wires, which are wound in two layers around a plastic core with a large pitch. This results in good capacitance values and effectively reduces current limitation (the so-called skin effect).
Other design advantages include the PP plastic insulator, which is very dense and chemically stable and helps to prevent the sound properties from being affected by corrosion of the conductor material. The conductors are twisted with dampening filler material,
effectively shielded using aluminum foil and then embedded in a rubberized outer jacket.
Originally assembled with 4 Supra Cables 3-pin XLR connectors.
