The ultimate speaker cable.
We worked for 2 years on the development of our ultimate speaker cable. The result: Sword Excalibur.
Our goal was to develop the best speaker cable in the world, without compromises or shortcuts. Every part of the design must be of the highest quality, yet affordable and, as usual, made in Sweden.
Bifilar-wound 5N OFC strands, twisted and shielded for minimal interference, PE insulation, CNC-milled cable splitter with grounding connection, XL-Annorum ground conductor, massive rhodium-plated copper connectors.
* The Supra CombiCon CB03-EX crimp bodies are specially developed for Excalibur, and each conductor is twisted into the crimp body to achieve maximum bending strength. The uninsulated strands are mechanically crimped to create a perfect and airtight cable connection.
* The connector body has a Supra M6 thread, allowing the user to choose between interchangeable rhodium-plated Supra spades or banana/BFA plugs.
* The ground connections are 30 cm long, with Supra XL-Annorum conductors and specially adapted, rhodium-plated Supra CombiCon connectors.
In the past, we modestly claimed that our original Sword is one of the best cables available, regardless of price and manufacturer. Sword Excalibur goes a few steps further towards complete transparency – the only words that adequately describe this patented high-end speaker cable.
The secret?
Sword 2x3.0 Excalibur bifilar-wound strands with 5N OFC conductors, twisted and shielded for minimal interference, PE insulation, CNC-milled cable splitter with grounding connection, XL-Annorum ground conductor, rhodium-plated solid copper connectors.
The Supra CombiCon CB03-EX crimp bodies are specially designed for Excalibur, and each conductor is twisted in the crimp body for maximum bending strength. The non-insulated strands are mechanically crimped for a perfect and airtight cable connection.
The crimp body has an M6 thread, allowing the user to choose between interchangeable rhodium-plated Supra spades or BFA bananas. The ground connections are made with 30 cm long Supra XL-Annorum conductors and use specially adapted, rhodium-plated Supra CombiCon connectors.
Sword Excalibur behaves like a cable with low inductance and maintains phase across the entire audible frequency range, resulting in minimal insertion loss between amplifier and speaker. The only thing not eliminated is the TONE, so you can hear every nuance of the MUSIC in its full dynamic splendor.
Ground/Shield connection.
The ground conductor should only be connected on the source side (amplifier side) as follows:
* To the grounding terminal on the amplifier (not present on all amplifiers)
* To the negative speaker output terminal
* Or connected to one of the amplifier’s chassis screws.
How does it sound?
The best way to describe it is "nothing," but that is hard to imagine, so we will try to explain. Sword preserves the true signal of your hi-fi system and offers a completely transparent transition from amplifier to speaker. You will hear the music, no more and no less.
Scope of delivery
It is delivered in an exclusive black wooden box containing both rhodium-plated banana plugs and spade connectors. We simply could not resist giving this remarkable cable a special touch.
The standard lengths of the Sword Excalibur cable are 2m, 3m, 4m, or 5m. Other custom lengths can be made to order – expect a delay of 4-6 weeks (due to Brexit issues importing into the United Kingdom from the EU) so that these can be custom assembled and then shipped to us.
Each set is equipped with interchangeable Supra CombiCon connectors (a selection of BFA, banana, or spade connectors is included in each box).
