The Athena II is manufactured using SP-OCC (Superior Pure OCC) technology to produce the purest silver, with purity levels of 6N (99.99998%) and even 7N (99.999998%), depending from the different batches. This is the highest level of purity of silver wire yet on the market. 
In addition, the Athena II is provided with the special satin structures that were developed from type 4 strands. The result is that the structure not only has similar properties to the type 4 strand, but also shows some improvements:

Hybrid Central Bundle: The bundles are made up of very small strands, and instead of a central Kevlar damping core, this Kevlar core is now surrounded by strands. This structure helps increase durability, anti-vibration, and signal transmission.

Different-sized strands: Satin Audio uses different-sized strands, each coated with a layer of insulation to protect them from oxidation and maximize signal transmission.
In addition, the Athena II is equipped with the advanced SA Insulation II jacket, which improves the flexibility and transparency of the cable, making it even more shiny and eye-catching.
This jacket has been intentionally designed to be soft and comfortable to wear throughout its lifetime and not harden after exposure to sweat like other cables on the market.
The best conductive connectors
As a high-end product line focused on optimizing signal transmission, each Athena II is equipped with the best quality connectors and connectors.
For the connectors, we use our proprietary Satin 2-pin TeCu/PEEK and MMCX TeCu/Teflon with a very high transmission index, with IACS up to 93% compared to normal 27% brass IACS connectors from other brands.
