The HYPERION Ge headphone amplifier represents the true STATE OF ART in the field of audio reproduction.

In Greek mythology, HYPERION is the son of the god Titan. HYPERION, together with his son HELIOS, represents the personification of the sun. We designed the front panel to symbolize the brightness of the sun.

The luxurious presentation and the exceptional authenticity of the reproduction never fail to delight the listener as they create the illusion of live music down to the smallest detail.

The high level of playback was set with the HAS-1b. With the HYPERION Ge we have succeeded in achieving even more details and an even finer representation of the acoustic space.

The careful selection of components and the expertly designed amplifier topology with pure class A preamp provides a stable basis for the highest class of amplifiers.

Germanium transistors

To achieve this, we turned to the forgotten gems of transistors - germanium transistors.

They were developed in the 1950s. They had several advantages over silicon transistors (higher current gain, higher linearity and lower base voltage requirement). Due to the expensive and complicated technology and the expensive base material - germanium - their production was stopped in the seventies (of the last century).

Unfortunately for audiophiles, they have been replaced by cheap silicon transistors. However, their rarity and significantly higher price did not stop us from using them in the entry level of the HYPERION Ge.

The use of germanium transistors allowed us to achieve the finest reproduction details that introduce the listener to the world of live music. The fact that germanium transistors have a base voltage that is two to five times lower than silicon transistors gives this amplifier incredible potential for displaying the finest details that impress with an opulent sound presentation.

HYPERION Ge is an amplifier with which we want to leave the imagination of audio presentation and bring you to the stage.

A special plus of the HYPERION Ge is the loudspeaker output. It allows you an incredible experience of authenticity of reproduction in your room when connected to high quality speakers. Of course, that requires top-notch sound sources AND top-of-the-line cabling to keep your path to live sound open.
