The A200 Pro is a compact, portable digital-to-analog converter and headphone amplifier (DAC/amp) from NiPO, designed specifically for use with smartphones and portable players.

Key features at a glance

• Attachment & design: The device features a striking retro cassette-style design with a tempered glass front. It attaches directly to the back of the smartphone using MagSafe or the included neodymium magnetic rings.

• Compact design: Weighing 112 g and measuring 11 mm thick, it keeps the smartphone setup handy.

• Conversion & clocking: Equipped with an AKM AK4497SVQ DAC chip and Accusilicon AS318 femtosecond crystal oscillators to reduce jitter and phase noise.

• Amplification: Uses two SGM8262 operational amplifiers combined with a proprietary discrete current mirror circuit (CMMT) for current-to-voltage conversion and preamplification.

• Power & connections: Offers an unbalanced 3.5 mm jack (405 mW at 32 $\Omega$) as well as a balanced 4.4 mm Pentaconn output with up to 1620 mW + 1620 mW into 32 $\Omega$. Both outputs can also be used as a dedicated line out.

• Display & Controls: A small 0.87-inch OLED display shows sample rates, volume, and mode; gain, digital filter, and equalizer settings can be adjusted directly on the device.

• Protocols: Supports both UAC2.0 for Hi-Res audio (up to PCM 768 kHz / DSD512) as well as UAC1.0 for easy use with consoles like the Nintendo Switch or PlayStation.

• Battery: The built-in 3900 mAh battery provides around 12 hours of playback timeso the A200 Pro doesn’t drain the connected smartphone’s battery during use.
