Reviews
Sound News
"RS6 performed above my expectations with every IEM and headphone I had at my disposal, there isn't a more customizable DAP today and that's why I'm going to award it with our prestigious Gold Award. Congratulations to the team and I'm looking forward to what's coming next!"
Hiby RS6 Review – Portable R-2R Goodness
"Kudos to HiBy for bringing out an R2R DAP on the Android platform. The RS6 presents a nice alternative to the Cayin R01/N6ii and a different sound signature also which can only benefit the potential buyer in the end. Definitely, a worthy introduction for those analog lovers whose wallets simply will not go as deep for the excellent LP P6 Pro."
HiBy RS6 Review | Headfonics Audio Reviews
"The HiBy RS6 is a wonderfully designed, elegant player that provides many features in a complete package. You have streaming, advanced DSP settings, DTA, Hi-Res Bluetooth, micro SD support, a very fast CPU with a clean UI, 4.4mm BAL and 3.5mm SE outputs in a very rigid copper chassis. This is a dream DAP when it comes to online music streaming. What more can we ask for?"

Highlights
The Darwin Architecture
The Darwin architecture is a completely new, high-resolution digital signal processing architecture developed by HiBy itself. In a groundbreaking evolution of traditional R2R architecture, the system includes resistive ladder linearity compensation and, for the first time, advanced features such as linear FIR filters, nonlinear harmonic control, switchable oversampling/NOS and DSD bypass for portable devices. The flexible end-to-end architecture is fully configurable and offers endless possibilities for future upgrades and endless development.
256-way adjustable FIR filter
The Darwin architecture allows up to 16x oversampling (and also NOS), with different filter types selectable to preserve linear phase and reproduce the original sound; it is also customizable to suit different earbud characteristics, ensuring adaptability to different earbuds of different designs and driver configurations.
Fully R2R based audio architecture
Full of musicality, lively and natural, the R2R-based amplifier stage brings the music to life and the performers on stage to an immersive experience.
Switchable oversampling / NOS
NOS mode bypasses oversampling and antialiasing, responds immediately to transients and stair steps, and converts the signal to analog as raw and direct as possible. Oversampling mode removes aliasing artifacts, activates all features of the Darwin architecture and allows individual adaptation of the sound signature to different headphones;
DSD bypass function
With separate LPFs for PCM and DSD, native DSD decoding is on an R2R system no more contradiction. The DSD-specific LPF effectively reduces the RF noise caused by the delta-sigma modulation process, optimizing DSD audio playback.

Headphone Specific Tuning
We have already cooperated with 10 professional HiFi brands in and outside China and the sound tuning Enlisted experts from each brand to match the different hardware parameters of the Darwin architecture to the characteristics of their earbuds, creating bespoke tunings for each brand, all available with a touch of the screen; more will follow...
MQA 16x Unfolding
The high processing power of the SoC enables an unprecedented 16x unfolding of MQA data and thus the reproduction of the Original master tapes from ever-smaller source files!
MQA is an award-winning technology that captures and reproduces the sound of the original studio master in a file small enough to be streamed and downloaded. HiBy collaborates with MQA to deliver the true original sound quality to listeners.
Sophisticated and powerful SoC
Using the sophisticated and powerful Snapdragon 660, coupled with fast LPDDR4 RAM and eMMC storage, which means demanding multi-threaded calculations (audio or other) can be performed in record time.
14nm LPP process, 8-core Kryo 260 architecture, 2.2 GHz, Adreno 512 GPU, 4GB LPDDR4 RAM, 64GB storage and micro SD slot
Great reinforcement scheme
Around the whole thing To top it off, a discrete current amplification scheme with 1x OPA1642 and 2x OPA1612 has been implemented, providing ample current to the output stage to achieve excellent dynamic and transient response. This is then coupled with 4 top of the line OPA1622 operational amplifiers to give 8 independent headphone amplification channels connected 2x2 in parallel; each channel is a combination of voltage and current gain stages. This is all controlled by a professional NJW1195A digital volume control, ensuring optimal control and ideal circuit dynamics at all times.
HiBy OS, the eternal god of audio!
The HiBy OS is the system architecture for HiFi audio developed by HiBy itself , which has been optimized from the ground up for audio processing. Now adapted to Android 9 OS, it opens the system to freely install any Android app and also supports advanced audio features such as USB audio input and output, wireless audio input and output, and system-wide audio effects.
System-wide Direct Transport Architecture now also with USB
The Direct Transport Architecture has always been known for supporting Android's originally mandatory sample rate conversion for the integrated headphone output. Now DTA can also bypass sample rate conversion for third-party applications, even when using USB audio, achieving bit-perfect output from almost any application to any location.
HiByLink support
With the practical HiByLink function you can control your RS6 via the HiByMusic app on your smartphone and thus playback , remotely control volume control, playlist management, etc.!
A wireless world
Supports both Bluetooth audio reception (to wired headphones or USB output) and Bluetooth -Audio transmission (to Bluetooth headphones) according to the Bluetooth 5 standard and a variety of Bluetooth codecs such as UAT, LDAC, aptX, aptX HD, AAC, SBC, etc. Highly stable 2.4GHz and 5GHz WiFi for reliable, ubiquitous online music access. Support DLNA/AirPlay/WiFi audio transmission.
Playtime
With its 4500mAh high capacity battery, the RS6 is capable of up to 8.5 hours of continuous playtime and 25 days standby time. Supports Quick Charge QC3.0 for charging power up to 18W.
