"When the sound completely captivates you"
Kennerton Gjallarhorn - the world's first horn-loaded headphone!
Horn headphones represent musicality, perceptual integrity, overall harmony, natural sound and the ability to fully immerse the listener.
The most important advantage of horn headphones is the ability to develop good sound pressure and produce excellent dynamics from the first milliwatts with minimal distortion.
Horn headphones reproduce the most subtle musical nuances and most fully and accurately convey the emotions of the performers.
The horn in the headphones creates a full presence effect, excellent micro-macro dynamics and a broad directivity in the horizontal plane.
High and mid frequencies played through a horn have a completely different energy and transparency.Low frequencies reproduced through a horn have a natural richness and power.
Horn headphones represent musicality, perceptual integrity, overall harmony, natural sound and the ability to fully immerse the listener.
Reviews
+The GH 50 JM is quite the experience. If Kennerton wasn't a name you originally recognized, it should mean something now. This headphone is so carefully constructed in its build, and that's completely reflected in the sound signature. For the price, it's worth looking into, especially if you're itching for an audiophile headphone with some personality.+

"The Gjallarhorn may not be a horn-shaped 2-channel speaker, but it brings the joys of listening to one into a distilled, portable, and personal audio space.Try it, you may just fall in love with Heimdallr's horn. This is certainly a basshead headphone that's crafted well."

PERFORMING GRAPHENE MEMBRANES
It all started with the development of a new high-tech material called "Graphene".
Graphene is - put simply - a two-dimensional layer of carbon with a thickness of only one atom. Its physical properties are truly unique:
- It is 300 times stronger than steel
- It has no internal resistance
- It's incredibly light
Since the production of pure graphene membranes is currently very difficult, time consuming and can cost a fortune, we decided to develop a mixture of mylar and powdered graphene, which is applied by a thermal process. In this way we have been able to significantly improve the characteristics of the classic dynamic loudspeaker, such as the strength of the membrane, its rigidity and the absorption of parasitic resonances.
This high-tech membrane required a correspondingly uncompromising "motor".That's why we equipped the speaker with an ultra-lightweight aluminum voice coil (CCAW) coated with a very thin layer of copper to increase its conductivity.
The coil is actuated by a powerful NdFeB alloy magnet that is 3-4 times larger in size and magnetic field strength than magnets in similar competitive speakers. All these technical solutions give the speaker a high dynamic range, amazing detail of the sound, very low distortion and bring the sound quality of the speaker close to representatives of planar magnet technology.
Over the last year we have developed several promising headphone prototypes based on these developments, one of which has even been approved for one of our partner projects. But it was only through much research and experimentation that we arrived at the sound concept that we have been pursuing for a long time and that best fits the framework of the Kennerton products.
Our new driver is a compression system, i.Hits membrane is suspended extremely softly and additionally relies on the elasticity of the air volume of the acoustic chamber represented by the earpiece.
This is done to lower the resonance frequency of the dynamics and thus the depth of the reproduced low frequencies. This property makes the speaker extremely responsive to even the slightest change in acoustic design, volume and filling.
In addition, the membrane "warms up" (it goes into the nominal mode of operation, relieves internal stresses and softens in places where the suspension bends) for a fairly long time - according to the results of our tests for at least 72 hours. And for a full "warm-up" period, the headphone typically takes up to a week of the total time it should be working. All of this kept our engineers working very hard, but everyone who was finally able to hear the headphones was amazed at the great result.
We were able to achieve high compatibility with both high-end systems and low-end devices while maintaining a consistently high level of sound driven by the capabilities of the source rather than the Headphones themselves will be limited.
For the Kennerton Gjallarhorn we use a steel headband with a minimum of moving parts, which means maximum reliability. The headphone shells, made of fine wood, are not only beautiful and pleasant to the touch, but also bring warm and natural notes to the headphone's sound, avoiding the obtrusive "plastic" overtones of the competing models. The lightweight design, self-adjustment to the user's head, and genuine leather ear pads provide supreme comfort for long listening sessions.
