Grand Oriveti Eminency is one of the most compelling examples of thoughtful value I have encountered in the upper-midrange IEM market.

It does not attempt to mimic a $6,000 flagship by exaggerating technical performance or piling on spectacle. Instead, it does something more convincing: it offers a distinctive, beautifully made, naturally tuned IEM with an accessory package that feels almost wildly overgenerous at $1,299.

Its standout strengths are its stabilised-wood shells, superb fit, outstanding cable and cases, clean mid-forward tuning, natural instrument timbre, and carefully controlled upper-midrange and treble response. Vocals are its calling card. They are forward, articulate, and emotionally engaging without becoming shouty or sibilant.

THE ART OF CRAFTSMANSHIP Housing Craftsmanship

The Eminency shares the same approach to crafting its housing from stabilized wood and resin as the Supremacy. In doing so, it preserves the Grand Oriveti standard of comfort, finish, and handcrafted individuality. The difference lies in the color composition: a deeper blend of green, purple, and shadow tones was chosen to give the Eminency its own distinctive visual presence within the collection.

The Grand Affinity Cable is not an afterthought. It was developed in parallel with the Supremacy as part of the complete acoustic system. OCC copper provides warmth and fullness. Silver-plated OCC enhances detail retrieval and airiness. Together, they form the final link between driver and ear – one that adds nothing artificial and takes away nothing genuine.

The Eminency is Grand Oriveti's first model to integrate magnetostatic planar drivers. Why that makes a difference:

THE TECHNOLOGY

What is a planar driver? A magnetostatic planar driver uses an ultra-thin, lightweight diaphragm that is driven across its entire surface by a magnetic field. Compared with conventional driver types, planar drivers are valued for their fast transient response, low distortion, and clean treble detail reproduction. In the Eminency, four planar drivers work alongside dedicated balanced-armature drivers for the midrange and treble to improve speed, clarity, and separation.

WHY 13 DRIVERS

Unified acoustic system Each driver in the Eminency covers a specific frequency range with surgical precision. The 10-mm dynamic driver handles the bass. Eight balanced-armature drivers cover the mids and lower treble. Four planar drivers extend into the uppermost treble range with exceptional resolution. The crossover was tuned over the course of several months so that the transitions between the individual driver types are completely inaudible - what you hear is a single instrument, not thirteen components.
