THE LEGEND

In old Slavic tales, every forest had its own guardianIn Polish, he was called Leszy.

He watched over the trees and the creatures that lived among themThose who entered the forest with respect could walk safely beneath its branchesThose who did not might hear a familiar voice calling from deeper in the thicket - and discover that the way home had vanished.

These stories were passed down through generationsYet to us, the forest never felt far awayIt begins just beyond the gates of Poznań, not far from our workshop.

The wood incorporated into every Leszy faceplate comes from these very forests: no two pieces are alike; each has its own grain, its own character, and carries a piece of the place where it grew.

SOUND

The development of Leszy required twelve months of prototyping, and its tuning is rooted in the same forestWhen you linger quietly among the trees, the noise falls silent - yet what you hear is not silenceInstead, you begin to place sounds spatially: a bird to the left, a snapping branch behind you, wind whispering from aboveA good IEM does exactly the same with a recordingThe haze recedes, and every element of the mix takes its rightful place.

Sound character

The Leszy follows Craft Ears' characteristic house sound, but has more individuality. Compared with the rest of our range, it plays more dynamically, vividly, and engagingly, with more energy. The bass is fuller and more pronounced, the midrange remains natural and open, and the treble is detailed and precise without ever becoming bright or harsh.

DRIVERS AND ACOUSTICS

• 1× 9.2 mm LSR dynamic driver (Liquid Silicone Rubber)

• 3× balanced-armature drivers

• 1× 6 mm round planar magnetic driver

Five drivers per side operate via a passive 4-way crossover on a circuit board: a dynamic 9.2 mm LSR driver handles the bass foundation, three balanced-armature drivers cover the lower midrange, midrange, and upper midrange, and a custom-made, round 6 mm planar magnetic driver made for Craft Ears provides treble and airiness.

SES 4.0™ is our acoustic system for the upper frequency range. The planar driver plays into a horn enclosure, flanked by three resonators (a combination of quarter-wave and Helmholtz resonators), which precisely shape the upper-midrange and treble frequencies.

True Load Evo™ gives the Leszy an almost linear, but deliberately not completely flat, impedance curve. This was deliberately engineered so that the in-ear monitor responds in a perceptible and musical way to changes in cables and source devices.

CRAFTSMANSHIP & CONSTRUCTION

The shells are made of aluminum, machined on modern 5-axis CNC mills and then anodized in a dark forest green with a satin finish. Inside, precisely engineered inserts manufactured on state-of-the-art 3D printers combine the drivers, acoustic chambers, sound channels of varying lengths and diameters, and resonators into a solid unit.

The metal faceplate is milled with a fine high-tech pattern and connects seamlessly to the shellEmbedded is an inlay made from genuine Polish wood sourced from trees growing around 30 km from our workshop in Poznań, where each piece is handcrafted. The Craft-Ears logo on the wood is gold.

The sound channels (Nozzles) are made of a special bronze alloy that is significantly more resistant to patina and oxidation than conventional bronze, preserving its appearance over the long term.

The included cable is an 8-core OCC copper cable with a natural copper finish, terminated with a balanced 4.4 mm plug and 0.78 mm 2-pin connectors.
