High-performance DAC ESS ES9069Q
The RU3 is equipped with the ESS ES9069Q, a modern DAC chip that utilizes ESS's latest HyperStream IV Dual DAC architecture. This powerful DAC provides clear, natural sound with excellent channel balance and low distortion.
With its independent operational amplifier design and low phase noise crystal oscillator, the RU3 offers smooth and detailed playback – ideal for mobile HiFi listening.
Quad-Balanced Drive Architecture
The RU3 uses a quad-balanced amplifier structure with two TI OPA1602 operational amplifiers and two SGM8262 low-noise amplifiers. This configuration delivers a clean output and a wide dynamic range with impressively low noise.
Despite its small size, the RU3 can easily power most earphones and portable headphones.

Two Power Modes – Intelligent Efficiency
Users can choose between two power modes: HYP and STD.

Thanks to this flexibility, the RU3 operates reliably whether connected to a smartphone or a computer, ensuring consistent sound quality under all conditions.
High-Resolution Audio and RISC-V Architecture
Powered by the SPV5068 processor based on a RISC-V dual-core architecture, the RU3 supports playback of PCM 32-bit/768 kHz and native DSD512 playback. The processor ensures fast response times and low distortion
and broad compatibility with all major operating systems – including Android, iOS, Windows, and macOS.
Cayin Control App – Customizable Sound
Through the Cayin Control App, users can optimize their listening experience with advanced features such as the following:
- 10-Band Parametric EQ
- 100-step Volume Control
- Selection of Amplification and Power Mode
The app provides full control and firmware updates, allowing users to effortlessly personalize their sound.
Elegant and portable design
The RU3 is made from precision-crafted aerospace-grade aluminum, measures 60 × 25.4 × 11 mm, and weighs only 24 g. It features a 0.96-inch IPS color display that offers clear status indication and customizable UI themes.
