To celebrate its 10th corporate anniversary, Japanese high-end audio manufacturer Brise Audio is releasing a limited special edition of its flagship system, FUGAKU. The system combines the proven FUGAKU platform with the newly developed NISHIKI cable technology.

Key innovations compared with the standard FUGAKU

1. NISHIKI Wiring:

   • A special 16-wire connection cable (NISHIKI 16wire Ultimate) that drives each driver separately through the amplifier.

   • The amplifier's internal signal wiring and the included 4.4 mm connection cable also use NISHIKI conductors (a special silver-copper blend with a gold coating and polyurethane insulation).

2. New Design & Materials (PVD Gold & Titanium):

   • Earphone housings made of pure titanium with a gold PVD coating.

   • Titanium amplifier housing in PVD black, with a 100% forged carbon top plate and a gold titanium volume control.

3. HCNT Material:

   • Use of the innovative HCNT material to optimize the sound of the drivers, amplifier components, and cables.

4. Customized Active Crossover:

   • A newly tuned sound curve that brings out the harmonious, detailed sonic character of the NISHIKI conductors to its fullest.

NISHIKI Cables

A Unified Signal Path with NISHIKI

The specialized cable connecting the amplifier to the earphones is the NISHIKI 16wire Ultimate for FUGAKU 10th AE, featuring sound optimization developed specifically for this system. Its 16-wire design—which independently drives the 5-way drivers through a total of 12 amplifier channels—combines with the characteristic sound signature of the NISHIKI conductor.

NISHIKI wire is also used for the internal wiring that connects the input and output boards of the dedicated amplifier. By standardizing the entire signal path from input to output with NISHIKI wire, its sonic character extends throughout the entire system.

An Ultimate-class connection cable (4.4 mm to 4.4 mm) is also included, made from gold-plated, copper-shielded NISHIKI cable.

PVD-gold titanium

Pure titanium wrapped in the brand color

The earphone housings are made of pure titanium with a PVD-gold finish—the brand color of Brise Audio, reminiscent of NISHIKI’s appearance. Pure titanium, which offers balanced resonance characteristics with minimal metal-related coloration, receives a finish befitting an anniversary model.

The dedicated amplifier combines a pure titanium housing with a black PVD finish in the brand color style and a pure titanium volume control with a PVD-gold finish. This contrast of black and gold defines the distinctive design of the 10th Anniversary Edition.

HCNT

The latest HCNT material throughout the system

HCNT, the latest material introduced with NISHIKI, is also used in the 10th AE as one of the materials for sound optimization. It is used throughout the system—in the drivers inside the earphones, the components of the dedicated amplifier, the special cable, and the included connection cable.

By adding HCNT as a new option to the sound-enhancement know-how refined over many years—determining which materials are placed where and in what order—the sonic tuning of the 10th AE has been elevated to a new level.

Crossover tuning

A custom sound curve tuned to NISHIKI

Because FUGAKU manages frequency allocation via the active crossover in the amplifier, the frequency response can be shaped with complete freedom. The 10th AE takes advantage of this to establish a new, dedicated sound curve that harmoniously integrates the sonic character of the NISHIKI cable.

Combining NISHIKI’s relaxed, effortless sound with FUGAKU’s richly detailed expressiveness and lifelike realism creates a pleasant, immersive listening experience—as if you were enveloped in a sea of sound.

Dedicated amplifier

10-channel active crossover + 12-channel power amplifier (10 channels total, left/right)

The low-frequency range operates in balanced mode, while the other frequency ranges operate in single-ended mode, with a dedicated power amplifier directly driving each individual driver in every band. A power-supply design that prevents interference between the circuits and a dense three-dimensional circuit layout accommodate this wealth of technology in a palm-sized housing.

NISHIKI MINI for FUGAKU 10th AE

A special connection cable made from NISHIKI wire is included to connect your source device to the dedicated amplifier. Its four signal conductors consist of NISHIKI wire made from gold-plated pure copper and gold-plated fine silver, enclosed in an outer shield made from gold-plated pure copper. Two of these cable strands are used to completely separate the left and right channels from each other. It has the same NISHIKI sonic tuning as the earphone cable, ensuring a consistent signal path from input to output.
