A new driver design combined with SLAM technology delivers mastering-quality precision that is even better than the original LCD-5, with a more natural, lifelike frequency response. The newly designed ear pads are precisely shaped to ensure long-term comfort and improved sealing.
Designed for effortless realism
To provide listeners with the most natural frequency response, the LCD-5 uses a new driver design with our thinnest and most responsive materials. The nanoscale Parallel Uniforce diaphragm is connected to a revised chassis structure that allows extremely precise midrange tuning.

The gently flowing, curved shapes of the new LCD-5 ear pads are designed to provide hours of listening enjoyment without fatigue. This design also minimizes audible reflections, resulting in higher sound accuracy.

The LCD-5s uses our highest quality cable, specially tuned with directional OCC high-purity copper strands to provide a low-capacitance, low-resistance signal path while ensuring unparalleled sonic precision and accuracy.
