AROMA Audio "CORE"
Since the founding of the brand ten years ago, AROMA Audio has decided to develop a product that can represent the brand’s ten-year journey for this significant moment. The carefully crafted product is the work for AROMA Audio’s 10th anniversary – “Core.”
In recent years, AROMA Audio has developed and launched ultra-flagship in-ear monitors (IEMs), but at the same time, we have constantly asked ourselves whether there is a sound that can surpass the ultra-flagship. On the path of continuous exploration, we focused on the two concepts “IEM” and “portable amplifier” and combined them, resulting in “Core.”
The AROMA Audio Core consists of two parts: the IEM Core and the cable “White Tiger,” which forms the amplifier. Both fully demonstrate AROMA Audio’s dedicated spirit regarding sound and its innovative craftsmanship.
“Core” features a brand-new panel design. We used a titanium alloy. Both in terms of craftsmanship and sound, we are convinced that the new metal panel will bring more changes to the sound. The AROMA Audio logo and the Core logo are each embossed on both sides.
The housing of the “Core” also features a 3D-printed design, retains the CM-like shape, and ensures consistent wearing comfort and stability.
The new ultra-flagship with new technologies
“Core” has a configuration of 6 electrostatic units, 6 balanced armature drivers, and 2 dynamic 9.2 mm drivers. After developing ultra-flagship products such as “Jewel” and “FEIWAN,” we decided to reintegrate the technologies of the individual products and create a more innovative sound.
The 6 electrostatic drivers can make the extension of high and ultra-high frequencies appear like an endless continuation, maintaining a bright sense of line while you simultaneously experience an unparalleled feeling of transparency.
The 6 balanced armature drivers are responsible for the midrange and provide dense sound reproduction with bright midrange performance. They are also an important element for the connection between the electrostatic and dynamic drivers.
The 2 dynamic drivers with 9.2 mm use the same patented dynamic driver design as “FEIWAN.” The patent for the coaxial strong magnetic phase pair dual dynamic driver technology raises the expressiveness of the low frequencies to a higher level. The layers of power and airiness become richer.
“Core” cable “White Tiger” with active amplifier
This time, we innovatively developed an IEM cable that integrates a “portable amplifier.” It still features a 2-pin and 4.4 mm design, but the cable includes an amplifier with an aluminum alloy housing (it must be charged and turned on before use). This was specially developed considering the driving difficulties of “Core.”
“White Tiger” is an active cable system and a special driver solution developed specifically for “Core” headphones. The amplifier circuit of “White Tiger” is tuned to the parasitic inductance and capacitance of the cable, allowing it to better adapt to the transmission characteristics of the cable and reduce losses and interference.
The unique amplifier circuit architecture of “White Tiger” was specially optimized for the composite impedance characteristics of the “Core” unit and the crossover and serves as a dedicated buffer between the headphones and the front-end devices. Users no longer need to worry about impedance matching or deal with problems of insufficient or excessive driving force.
The “White Tiger” cable uses G-UPOCC (graphene-reinforced, oxygen-free single-crystal copper) with a 26-AWG Litz 4S structure and employs Absolute Shielding Technology to shield the cable conductor itself, minimizing sound interference. This allows you to experience the best sound.
Whether “Core” itself or “White Tiger” – AROMA Audio has applied brand-new technologies and creativity. The goal is to create the strongest technological achievement of AROMA Audio, “Core,” at this significant moment of the tenth anniversary. Everything serves to present the sound that AROMA Audio has been most proud of in the past ten years.
