We worked for 2 years to develop our ultimate speaker cable. The result: Sword Excalibur.
Our goal was to create the best speaker cable in the world, without compromises or shortcuts. Every part of the design must be of the highest quality, yet affordable and, as usual, made in Sweden.
Bifilar wound 5N OFC strands, twisted and shielded for minimal interference, PE insulation, CNC machined cable splitter with ground connection, XL Annorum protective conductor, solid rhodium-plated copper connectors.
* The Supra CombiCon CB03-EX crimp bodies are specifically designed for Excalibur, and each conductor is twisted into the crimp body to achieve maximum bending strength. The uninsulated strands are mechanically crimped to create a perfect and airtight cable connection.
* The connector body has a Supra M6 thread, allowing the user to choose between interchangeable rhodium-plated Supra lugs or banana/BFA pins.
* The ground connections are 30 cm long, with Supra XL Annorum conductors and specially adapted, rhodium-plated Supra CombiCon plugs.
In the past, we have humbly claimed that our original Sword is one of the best cables available, regardless of price or manufacturer. Sword Excalibur takes it a few steps further towards complete transparency - the only words that adequately describe this patented high-end speaker cable.
The secret?
Sword 2x3.0 Excalibur Bifilar wound strands with 5N OFC conductor, twisted and shielded for minimal interference, PE insulation, CNC machined cable splitter with ground connection, XL Annorum ground conductor, rhodium plated solid copper connectors.
The Supra CombiCon CB03-EX crimp bodies are specifically designed for Excalibur, and each conductor is twisted within the crimp body for maximum bending strength. The non-insulated strands are mechanically crimped for a perfect and airtight cable connection.
The crimp body has an M6 thread, allowing the user to choose between interchangeable rhodium-plated Supra-Spades or BFA Bananas. The ground connections are made with 30cm Supra XL Annorum conductors and use custom-fitted, rhodium-plated Supra CombiCon connectors
Sword Excalibur behaves like a low inductance cable and maintains phase across the entire audible frequency range , which leads to minimal insertion loss between amplifier and speaker. The only thing that isn't canceled is the SOUND, so you can hear every nuance of the MUSIC in its full dynamic glory.
Earth/shield connection.
The ground conductor should only be connected on the source side (amplifier side) as follows:.
* Connect to the ground terminal on the amplifier (not available on all amplifiers)
* To the negative speaker output terminal
* Or connect to one of the chassis screws on the amplifier.
How does that sound?
The best way to describe it is "nothing", but that's hard to imagine, so we'll try to explain. Sword maintains the true signal of your hi-fi system and offers a completely transparent transition from amplifier to speaker. You will hear the music, nothing more, nothing less.
Scope of delivery
It comes in an exclusive black wooden box containing both rhodium plated banana and cable lugs. We just couldn't resist giving this remarkable cable a special touch.
The standard lengths of the Sword Excalibur cable are 2m, 3m, 4m or 5m. Other bespoke lengths can be made to order - allow a delay of 4-6 weeks (due to Brexit issues importing into the UK from the EU) for these to be made to order and then dispatched to us.
Each set comes with interchangeable Supra CombiCon connectors (a choice of BFA, Banana or Spade connectors are included in each box).
