Satin Audio Gaïa II is manufactured using the best wire production technologies, such as highest material purity, SP-OCC, and litz.
Satin Audio Gaïa II features wires made from Superior Pure OCC Copper of the highest purity. Additionally, copper is known as one of the most conductive materials, so the highest purity copper leads to the highest conductivity.
Based on the International Annealed Copper Standard (IACS), copper conductivity is 100% IACS, while OCC copper reaches up to 103% IACS. While silver conductivity reaches up to 105% IACS, OCC silver achieves 107% IACS. This means that the conductivity of silver and copper has been significantly increased thanks to OCC technology.
SP-OCC (Superior Pure Ohno Continuous Casting) is the most advanced casting technology developed to overcome annealing issues and practically eliminate all grain boundaries in copper or silver using a unique patented process. Satin Audio SP-OCC wires are manufactured in one of the few factories worldwide that can apply this advanced technology.
The Type 4 litz construction helps keep impedance constant and generally improves the LCR values of the cables. The Type 4 construction consists of individual wires twisted together, and these bundles of twisted wires are then twisted around a central nylon damping core.
Litz is a technology developed to reduce losses caused by the skin effect and proximity effect in conductors. Thanks to Litz, there is no chance for the wires to oxidize and turn green.
The new UltraSoft II looks better and is much more flexible compared to our other insulations.
The use of nylon as a damping core in each strand helps minimize vibrations and improve the durability of the cables.
Satin Audio Gaïa II offers the following cable options: standard 4-strand, 6-strand, and 8-strand with numerous options for connectors and plugs for a variety of IEMs. The 6- and 8-strand braids are designed to support some of the most powerful and highest-quality IEMs. Thanks to a reasonable sizing of 28AWG per conductor, even an 8-strand braided cable remains compact and flexible.
For all Satin Audio cables, exclusive Satin Audio parts such as connectors, Y-splitters, and couplers are used.
For the best soldering quality, we also use high-quality solders - Oyaide SS-47 Solder (4.7% silver, Japan)
