However, ARCAS distinguishes itself with additional premium components and expanded connectivity options. Featuring DENAFRIPS' custom, hand-selected OCXO (Oven Controlled Crystal Oscillator) for superior timing accuracy, Arcas offers more versatile digital outputs, including Duo I2S and Duo AES/EBU.

FOUNDATION of GOOD SOUND
ARCAS offers an improvement in the form of an 80 VA O-core shielded transformer. This transformer is carefully manufactured in-house by DENAFRIPS engineers using UPOCC copper.
The oversized 80 VA O-Core shielded transformer delivers significant power to the ARCAS Streamer's multi-stage linear power supply. This improvement ensures that the ARCAS receives a plentiful and stable power supply for optimal performance.
A unique streamer module – developed by DENAFRIPS engineers in-house – with a quad-core ARM Cortex processor, high-quality crystal oscillators, fast settling time, low noise and LDO regulators.
Customized operating system (OS), optimized for a euphoric sound experience.
The FPGA chip in this product embodies DENAFRIPS' extensive expertise in digital signal processing and integrates advanced techniques such as FIFO buffering and reclocking via a high-precision OCXO (Oven Controlled Crystal Oscillator) for exceptional timing accuracy.

The ARCAS streamer has versatile digital output options, with the i2s connection being a standout feature.
This allows users to seamlessly connect the streamer to external DACs that support this unique and high-resolution digital connection, such as the DENAFRIPS VENUS II 12th-1.

In addition, the ARCAS streamer is equipped with two external master clock inputs, giving users the flexibility to connect an external master clock such as DENAFRIPS MCLK Terra, Aether or DENAFRIPS flagship DACs Terminator II and Terminator Plus.

Limitation(s):
- The app, available exclusively for Android, is currently under development and lacks the responsiveness and usability found on popular streaming platforms. Consequently, local file playback is basic and rudimentary.
- The DLNA streaming feature is currently limited to 16-bit/44.1 kHz. There are plans to improve this feature, but an exact date for this update has not yet been confirmed.
- Therefore, we strongly recommend the Arcas streamer to people who use Roon.
