Passion for Sound
Symmetrical through and through
You can't judge a book by its cover, but you can judge a circuit by its layout. The balanced dual mono system is beautiful and achieves the highest possible audio performance.
Under the GT's hood are two independently operated mono amplifiers in mirror image symmetry. The resulting pitch-black soundstage and crisp details are breathtaking!
The engine of the GT
The beating heart of the Soloist GT is 5 sets of Burson Max Current Power Supplies. We push these MCPS to the limit of their potential. So much so that they draw 90W when idling and need active cooling.
Despite spitting out 10 watts, the GT isn't looking for performance. Instead, it strives for purity. So if you've ever wondered what Norah Jones really sounds like, this dream machine will take you there!
Balanced audio paths
Regarded as the best in the world, the V6 Vivid discrete op amps are used in countless recording studios.
The GT uses three V6 Vivid op amps per channel for incredible transparency. Still, you can bring in your own preferences by changing op amps and creating your own listening experience.
Headphone Crossfeed
Live music and speaker sound arrive at your head mixed. This will give you a feel for positioning. Also, most audio engineers assume that their tracks will be played through stereo speakers and not headphones.
Some headphone headphones use software to create this crossfeed, but such DSPs often produce other types of distortion.
Elitist Volume Control X 2
The typical stereo volume control creates a lot of interference between the channels. Industry giants like Pass Lab and AVM use the MUSES72320 volume control to reduce such distortion in their flagship preamps.
The Soloist GT takes this a step further by incorporating a MUSES72320 + V6 Vivid discrete buffer volume control per channel , eliminating any possibility of cross-channel interference.
Centering the speakers
Who can afford a fully balanced, sound-engineered home theater? For everyone else, it's typical to have a door or window near one speaker and a bookshelf near the other. These elements distort the soundstage.
With a MUSES+V6 Vivid volume control per channel, you can adjust the volume of each stereo speaker separately. This will bring you closer to the perfect soundstage that until now has only been available to a lucky few!
GT Cool.
Our Burson Cool Case is already the largest heat sink in a headphone amp.Nevertheless, we have introduced active cooling for the GT
Since each component operates in a specific temperature range, regardless of the environment, active cooling gives us the freedom to push the GT to its performance limit.
To eliminate wind noise, we designed a new cabinet to increase rigidity and reduce resonance. By combining this resonance-free case with the quietest fan money can buy from Noctua in Austria, wind noise is below 25 dBA. For comparison: An empty recording studio has over 30 dBA of ambient noise. So the GT is quieter than the background noise of your music.
Head+Sub mode. Excuse me?
