ORIGIN OF THE DEITY

Inspired by the well beneath Yggdrasil

In Norse mythology, Mímisbrunnr is the Well of Wisdom, guarded by Mímir. Odin sacrificed one of his eyes to drink from its waters and thereby gain wisdom and foresight.

Like its namesake, Mímisbrunnr is not tuned for immediate sharpness or exaggerated theatrics. It reveals itself through depth, patience, and gradual musical discovery.

Mimisbrunnr draws its design language from the hidden path to the Well of Wisdom. Ancient archways, winding roots, and multilayered structures come together in a form that feels both mythological and architectural.

2. Dark green optical resin shell: A translucent surface inspired by the waters beneath Yggdrasil.

At the heart of the Mímisbrunnr is Kinera’s $2\text{DD} + 2\text{EST}$ hybrid architecture. Instead of increasing the number of drivers for its own sake, the system assigns each frequency range to the driver type best suited to its role. This creates a multilayered and balanced acoustic structure.

• 8 mm dynamic driver with liquid silicone diaphragm: A unit with a liquid silicone diaphragm, uniform molecular-level shaping, and ultra-lightweight design; balances sensitivity, transient response, and durability, achieving the optimal balance between compact size and acoustic performance.

• Dual-Sonion electrostatic drivers: The treble range uses a Sonion electrostatic dual driver unit, giving the high frequencies greater extension, fast transient response, and a clearer, brighter sound.
