Maven has long been regarded as the undisputed flagship of UM's "Titanium Force" mid-range series. Unlike the MEST series, which serves a similar price segment, Maven's design philosophy focuses on using mature, well-thought-out technologies to achieve a more avant-garde sound character.

Accordingly, every product in the Maven series is based on titanium as the main material.
Starting with the Maven II Moonshard, the series has drawn its creative inspiration from the moon, a celestial body that is both familiar and mysterious to us.

From surface finishing techniques to our interpretation of sound, the imagery of the moon fragment is woven together with the inherent character of titanium.

From Brilliant Highs to Pop Favorite – The Sound Evolution of the Maven Trilogy

Looking back at the first two generations of Maven, we took completely different sonic directions.

The original Maven used the most advanced architecture of its time with exclusively balanced armatures, tuned for a bright, treble-emphasized sound with a distinct Japanese character. Its crisp, lush sound reproduction led to strong sales abroad and made it a personal classic in the hearts of many enthusiasts.

With the Maven II Moonshard, we pushed our limits towards the common hybrid combination of dynamic, balanced armature, and electrostatic drivers, tuning the result into a balanced product with rich musicality and hi-fi character. Its sound is lively and dynamic, especially suitable for pop vocal playback, earning it the title "the fashionable favorite of pop music."

Upon release, it received wide recognition from enthusiasts both domestically and internationally. Although the edition was limited to 799 units, customer inquiries continued long after it sold out – clear proof of its appeal.

Building on the Past, Pushing the Boundaries of Sound – The Bold Leap of the Maven III

Achieving a breakthrough on the shoulders of the already mature and highly successful Maven II is undoubtedly a great challenge.

Supported by extensive development experience gained from our bone conduction and Maven product lines, the UM team has long mastered the art of integrating bone conduction technology with metal chambers and developing the ideal cavity structure that allows the bone conduction driver to seamlessly fit into the titanium housing.

Regarding driver configuration, the Maven III combines a hybrid architecture of dynamic, balanced armature, electrostatic, and bone conduction drivers, making it the structurally most complex product in the Maven series to date.

The first impression the Maven III leaves is like looking at the night sky after a rain shower: wide open and refreshingly clear. The sound is transparent and concise, faithfully reproducing every detail and texture of the music, with each note rendered with remarkably clear contour.

Close behind are the rolling bass range and exceptional dynamics produced by the independent dual dynamic drivers, transforming this openness into an exhilarating feeling of grandeur inside.

Through this lively contrast between highs and lows, we present a V-shaped tuning considered a true industry benchmark. The Maven III clearly proves one thing: UM, and only UM, can give the traditionally "aggressive" V-shaped signature unprecedented musicality.

The Maven III features a completely new shell made from a titanium alloy produced by 3D printing. The cool metallic feel of titanium is combined with geometric, mechanical surface structures, forming an industrial design language that is immediately recognizable. The three-dimensional patterns reveal a layered depth under light and convey a sense of order and strength.

A central totem motif interacts with the surrounding engravings,
creating a balance between strict form and refined craftsmanship and
uniting futurism and artistry.

The metal surface preserves the raw, polished character of titanium itself, with matte and engraved layers forming a distinct contrast – strict and restrained yet full of tension.

MistRock Special Cable

The MistRock cable was specially developed for the Maven III and features a headphone-appropriate cross-section of 22 AWG.

In combination with the Maven III, it offers exceptionally high information density, impressive spatiality, and vocal reproduction with effortlessly controlled power and finesse.

Premium Leather Case

The special black leather case with ice pattern for the Maven III is made of approximately 80% imported Turkish cowhide leather. Its ice vein texture gives the leather a deep, glossy color tone and a warm, supple feel in the hand.

Geometric SK5 metal accents are incorporated throughout, providing a balance between strength and grace – a striking and distinctive style.
