The heart of the Lu Ban is a three-driver configuration, consisting of a dynamic driver with a 10mm diaphragm made of wood composite, paired with two newly developed super-magnetic planar drivers.

With a sensitivity of 108 dB SPL/mW and an impedance of 27 ohms, the Lu Ban is designed to deliver powerful sound, speed, and sophistication across a variety of sources.

The sonic foundation of the Lu Ban is its 10mm dynamic driver with a wood composite diaphragm. Wood has been valued for centuries in musical instrument making due to its natural resonance and tonal character.

By integrating a wood composite material into the diaphragm structure, Noble achieves a deep, controlled, and structured bass. The sub-bass extends confidently without overhang, while the mid-bass remains clear and balanced.

The midrange benefits from harmonic richness and realism. Vocals sound full and present. Acoustic instruments retain their natural decay and weight. Instead of adding artificial warmth, the wood composite driver provides musicality through targeted material engineering.

This dynamic driver forms the emotional core of the Lu Ban's sound reproduction, delivering a natural sound with convincing body.

Dual super-magnetic planar technology

The dynamic driver is supported by two super-magnetic planar drivers, representing a significant advancement over conventional planar designs.

The super-magnetic architecture uses a new generation of neodymium-iron-boron material with extremely high magnetic energy, refined by a precisely dosed copper element to optimize the stability and efficiency of the magnetic flux. This advanced magnetic circuit design enables faster response, improved fine detail reproduction, and higher precision in the treble range.

The planar drivers provide clarity, airiness, and separation. The high frequencies extend cleanly and without harshness. Complex passages remain layered and understandable, maintaining composure even in demanding recordings.

While the dynamic wood driver provides weight and musicality, the dual planar system contributes speed and technical accuracy. Together they form a coherent hybrid sound reproduction that balances natural tonal color with analytical precision.

Carefully crafted

Inspired by the legendary Chinese craftsman Lu Ban, the design reflects precise workmanship and respect for materials.

Each housing combines cocobolo wood, selected for its structural stability and distinctive grain, with a highly precise resin inner frame produced by 3D printing. This ensures exact driver placement and consistent acoustic geometry in every single unit.

Subtle variations in the wood grain make each pair visually unique, while maintaining Noble's strict manufacturing standards.

High-quality cable and accessories

The Lu Ban comes with a 4-core woven cable made of high-purity, silver-plated OCC copper, ensuring signal integrity and sound accuracy. The cable features a fiber-woven surface coating, standard 0.78mm 2-pin connectors with L and R markings, and a 4.4mm copper connector with gold-plated, balanced connection.
