Hybrid design

12 traditional BA drivers + dBC-s 5-way crossover

MASON FuSang Sound is equipped with 12 balanced armature drivers and a dBC-s dual sides bone conduction system. We used custom-built large format BA drivers, which offer significant advantages in soundstage size and distortion control.

The bone conduction system helps refine the entire frequency range by adding weight and density to the sound. This guarantees that the Mason FuSang delivers an exceptionally natural and realistic sound.

MASON FuSang BA + dBC-S

MASON FuSang uses a double-sided piezoelectric bone conduction driver. The driver is located between two carrier plates. In the center of the driver is the vibration plate, which is ceramic coated on both the front and back.

The bone conduction driver now shares a larger conduction area with the shell (double-sided conduction with the shell), which improves transmission efficiency and Significantly increased sensitivity.

The dBC-s has an effective frequency response of 500Hz to 20kHz, allowing for refinement of the entire frequency spectrum.

Bone conduction working principle

The bone conduction drivers consist of metal vibrating pieces covered with piezoelectric ceramic. The ceramic layers bend the metal vibrating pieces, thus generating micro-vibrations according to the changes in AC input voltage.

What are bone conduction sounds?

We experience bone conduction sounds at any time of the day. As we eat, drink water, and even scratch our heads or cover our ears, we can hear sound being transmitted through our teeth and skull to our inner ears. All of these are sounds transmitted by bone conduction.


Early application

Ludwig van Beethoven, the famous 18th-century composer who almost completely was deaf discovered bone conduction. Beethoven found a way to hear the sound of the piano through his jawbone by attaching a stick to his piano and clenching it with his teeth.

MASON FuSang applies bone conduction technology and transmits a specific range of frequencies by vibrating the inner parts of the shells. The sound bypasses the nozzles and delivers the music directly to the inner ones via skull contact Ears.

Digital light processing 3D printing

Under the system's control, the liquid photosensitive resin is scanned with ultraviolet light to solidify it layer by layer in the desired shape.

UM Purple Charm Custom Cable

The sound is crystal clear and fluid. It is full of air and detail, suitable for all types of audio devices.

Purple Charm is an 8-wire, 24AWG OCC audiophile-grade cable. Each individual wire is independently enamelled. We have used high quality black enamel materials which are thicker and much more efficient at electron transport than the traditional enamel cables.

We also used medical grade PVC coating for Purple Charm. It offers a better user experience and the permittivity is closer to the state of the art.
