Class A amplification
The R5 uses a top-of-the-line Class A amplifier in this mid-range Android DAP. The discrete, balanced Class A amplifier circuit is capable of delivering continuous high power and provides ample energy reserves for all genres of music. It effortlessly converts power into the most dynamic compositions, offering clear and full sound.
discrete output stage
Featuring 4 independent push-pull amplifier channels with 270° conduction angles constructed from discrete components including 8 high-performance paired bipolar transistors, the R5 offers excellent current output performance and control over variable loads. Activate Class A preamp mode for premium audio performance! Total harmonic distortion (THD) is 0.0006% at the amplified output for unparalleled realism.
Two high-performance DACs for amazing music resolution
The two ES9219C DACs natively support the high-resolution formats DSD256, PCM768kHz/32bit, with an SNR of 130dB and a THD+N of less than -112dB. The high-precision output voltage ensures that the most accurate signal is passed on to the Class A amplifier section for amplification; it also supports the integrated DAC amplifier output (economy mode) for excellent low power consumption and a particularly long playtime.
Two independent crystal oscillators, FPGA clock algorithm
The use of two independent audiophile-quality crystal oscillators at 45.158 MHz and 49.152 MHz ensures highly precise timing of all audio events in your music.
Cost-No-Object audio components naturally pave the way to high-quality sound
The use of 163 high-precision resistors, 19 Panasonic tantalum POSCAPs and 4 ELNA electrolytic capacitors ensures maximum suppression of power supply ripple and thus a silky black background.
