The revolutionary Dual Bone Conduction System
We never stop experimenting with new possibilities. We spent more than a year finding the best way to use two types of bone conduction drivers in one shell. It makes practical sense because our patented FreqShift BCDs and the Sonion BA BCDs do not overlap much.
However, it is also a big challenge to make them work together without disturbing the sonic harmony. After hundreds of experiments, we finally found the right, optimistic positions for each driver and the ideal housing material that organically connects these two drivers.
The revolutionary housing material
We chose high-density ceramic for the MEST-Jet Black because it can significantly improve the effectiveness of bone conduction compared to resin shells. At the same time, it can reduce distortion when two types of bone conduction drivers are used in one unit.
If you were at CanJam NYC 2023, you'll remember that we already tested the ceramic in 2023 with the MEST MKIII prototype. After two years of experimenting and continuously improving the internal design and craftsmanship, we finally feel comfortable.
