The NAD C399 combines a high-quality preamplifier with analog and digital inputs, the innovative HybridDigital™ nCore power amplifiers, and a high-resolution D/A converter to create a powerful, universally applicable hi-fi amplifier. Previously only found in the high-end Masters models, NAD's HybridDigital™ nCore technology makes the C399 the new flagship integrated amplifier of the NAD Classic series. The digital section of the C399 features a 32-bit/384 kHz ESS Sabre D/A converter – the same chip used in the NAD Masters amplifiers M10 and M33.
The C399 is also the first amplifier to feature NAD's latest generation of Modular Design Construction (MDC) technology. This concept, now called MDC2, allows the amplifier to be equipped with optional modules via rear-mounted slots that expand the unit's functionality, for example, with high-resolution BluOS™ multi-room music streaming and Dirac Live.® Extend room correction.
