The new Cayin N7+ DAP improves on the already impressive N7 in terms of sound quality and battery life and is now available in titanium color.
- The N7+ has an aluminum housing in titanium color
- Improved headphone amplifier circuitry allows the N7+ to deliver higher output power: 330 mW for 3.5 mm and 690 mW for 4.4 mm
- Improved power management results in longer battery life compared to the N7. The N7+ reaches 13 hours at 3.5mm
- We have upgraded the power transistor to the high-performance double bipolar transistor PHPT610030NPK, while we have switched to the OPA1612A SOIC-8 package for the OPAMP
DAP with Pure 1 Bit DSD R2R DAC
The N7 is the first DAP to go in a completely different direction and implements the first pure 1-bit miniature DAC circuit with four rails with resistor network.

The discreet 1-bit DAC can natively decode up to DSD512 and processes PCM up to 32 bit/768kHz. We have also developed a discrete LPF (low pass filter) circuit to enhance the output stage of our 1-bit DAC so that the N7 can achieve the soft and natural sound signature.
The headphone amplification of the N7 is nothing less as spectacular; he is a fully discreet, balanced design that features our famous Dual Amplifier Operation (DAO, optionally Class A or Class AB). The N7 is Android 12-based
with Google Play pre-installed and ready for streaming.

This is how the N7, the new model, was born. In contrast to the previous models 3, 5, 6, 8 and their upgrade versions, the 7 not only represents its positioning in Cayin's N-series of DAPs, but also the beginning of a new architecture
and technology application.
The heart of the N7’s audio architecture, the DAC, consists of 128 discrete Resistors. 32 resistors per channel and four channels form a completely symmetric differential structure followed by a fully symmetric LPF discrete amplifier circuit.
When you see this, some of you might think it's an R-2R architecture—after all, R-2R is no longer an unfamiliar term in the portable market. In fact, it's a 1-bit circuit architecture composed entirely of 128 discrete resistors. Or simply put, it is a pure DSD decoding circuit.
