EFFECT AUDIO x QDC Sovereign

The One Above All (The One Above All) Limited to 200 pieces worldwide.

The crown first rests upon a composed ruler. With each passing season, his reign gains even greater stature. His authority reaches beyond the farthest frontier. His legacy outlasts the passage of time. At the height of his reign, imperial robes unfold. Molten gold follows in his footsteps. The scepter rests firmly in his grasp. The emperor reveals his ultimate form: SOVEREIGN – The One Above All.

Sound & Tuning

• Sound signature: Balanced, finely tuned and not too aggressive.

  • Bass: Deep-reaching, powerful (“authority”), yet always controlled and precise.

  • Midrange / vocals: Warm and intimate.

  • Treble: Open, detailed, and extended, without sounding harsh.

• Listening impressions (CanJam Shanghai 2026):

  • It particularly impresses with its balance and effortless reproduction of complex musical passages.

  • Despite its exceptionally high technical precision, the product sounds musical and engaging—not purely analytical.

INTRODUCING SOVEREIGN – The One Above All

QDC and EFFECT AUDIO join forces to create SOVEREIGN – a newly developed tuning, custom internal wiring, and the IMPERIAL SCEPTRE cable, brought together on an award-winning acoustic foundation.

EMPEROR won the VGP Gold Award three years in a row (from 2024 to 2026), along with the 2024 EHA HiFi Audio Gold Award and the Technology Innovation Award.

Following the GMA FE in 2025, SOVEREIGN marks EFFECT AUDIO’s next flagship IEM collaboration. Only 200 units will be made worldwide.

AN AUDIENCE WITH SOVEREIGN

The presentation begins as a confident showcase, revealing the entire SOVEREIGN system at once.

A custom calfskin case adds a supple touch and a fine-grain finish. ARC Oval eartips refine vocal presence and openness across the midrange and upper frequencies.

From the very first moment, every element radiates SOVEREIGN’s stately authority.

THE SOVEREIGN SOUND

Fifteen drivers are housed in each earphone: one dynamic driver, ten balanced armature drivers, and four electrostatic drivers.

A 5-way crossover works with V14 Multi-Tube filtering and qdc's Dmagic acoustic structure to control the entire frequency spectrum with precise control.

For SOVEREIGN, the low frequencies gain deeper authority and firmer definition. Vocals have greater intimacy and warmth, while the upper range remains open and finely resolved.

Its authority is expressed not through excess, but through the effortless mastery of every register.

THE GOLDEN REGALIA

The faceplate evokes imperial robes at the height of a reign.

Dense folds of gold overlap like intricately crafted brocade, with copper and ember tones emerging beneath each layer.

Framed by a polished gold setting, its brilliance radiates the composure of absolute rank.

IMPERIAL SCEPTRE: A SYMBOL OF POWER

Developed exclusively for SOVEREIGN, the IMPERIAL SCEPTRE draws on EFFECT AUDIO's 17 years of experience with conductor materials and geometries.

Built around SOVEREIGN's high-resolution reference character, the cable adds greater tonal density and musical flow to the sound.

The UP-OCC platinum-silver alloy - the ultra-flagship material introduced with the CENTURION II - works with pure silver to preserve speed and definition.

Silver-copper alloy, silver-plated copper, and pure copper add body to vocals and lower registers.

EA's philosophy of perfection continues inside every earpiece.

Palladium-plated silver reinforces the bass path, while pure silver maintains openness in the upper registers.

The GMA FE's scepter-inspired design continues: the splitter now features a custom gold finish created exclusively for SOVEREIGN.
