Have you ever wondered which connection in your outlet is the live (hot) phase? Or where the live wires run inside the wall? Our pen-shaped AC sensor detects the alternating electric fields that differ from the neutral conductor (yourself) and signals this with a red blinking tip and a sound.

Use this sensor to determine the phase position from the outlet to most electrical devices. There are good reasons to connect all devices to the same phase, preferably the phase that causes the least stray capacitance. This reduces the noise current caused by diverging signal ground potentials, resulting in significantly lower background noise and improving system dynamics and detail accuracy.

Also use this sensor to check the alternating electric field of any power cable. Once you realize how much difference it makes to suppress the fields around audio/video devices, you open the door to a new world of clear, clean picture and sound.

  • Detection of AC voltage 100–230 V-AC
  • Determination of the phase in an outlet
  • High, medium, and low sensitivity
  • Acoustic and optical detection

SUPRA AC Detection Sensor

Our AC sensor detects alternating electric fields and signals this with a red blinking tip and an acoustic alarm.

Use this sensor to determine the phase position from the wall outlet to most electrical devices. There are good reasons to connect all devices to the same phase, preferably the phase that causes the least stray capacitance.

This measure reduces the noise current caused by diverging signal potentials, leading to a significantly reduced noise level and improving the system’s dynamics and detail accuracy. The AC sensor can make magnetic alternating fields visible.

The cable must be connected to the power grid. When you hold the tip of the sensor near the cable and the sensor stick lights up, a magnetic alternating field is present.

Also use this sensor to check the alternating electric field of any power cable. Once you realize how much difference it makes to shield the fields around audio/video devices, you open up a new world with clear images and top-quality sound.
