Supra Cables LoRad power cable 2.5 SPC (CH plug) 16A
The Supra LoRad SPC is a power cable that we launched to celebrate our 40th anniversary. Only the best naturally occurring conductor material can truly unleash electrical energy: silver! We have retained all the advantages of our power cables, such as the best-in-class shielding of interference fields, be it electrical and magnetic fields or interference from radio stations.
Highlights
- SPC – Silver plated copper is one of the best conductors around.
- LoRad – lowest radiation (lowest radiation) of electromagnetic fields is the key to lowest interference.
- Rated current max. 16 amps
- CH plug
- The chic look in anthracite gray harmonizes perfectly with the Supra plugs of the same color with gold-plated contacts and the silver print.
- Unbeatable price-performance ratio.
- Designed and manufactured in Sweden!
Supra LoRad cable sets - safe, low-noise power cable with Supra Lavish 24K gold-plated plugs
LoRad stands for Low Radiation and the design of these power cables minimizes both alternating electrical and magnetic fields. Give your hi-fi devices the most welcome benefit of all: the ability to be quiet when they're supposed to be. Only then do the smallest details and tones become clearly audible, and the background of the time-delayed reflections, whether real or artificial, that represent the acoustic environment of the recording reveal the entire soundstage to the conscious hi-fi enthusiast. Transferred to the world of home cinema, only the film is visible, but not the artifacts or the noise that comes from the multitude of electrical devices present in most modern households.
LoRad protects against alternating fields emitted by the cable radiate, as well as before the absorption of airborne sound fields from the environment, e.g. B. wireless and mobile phones, WiFi, radio and television broadcasts, etc. LoRad MkII is an evolution of the LoRad concept, now with improved shielding, flexibility, bending/fatigue resistance and strength.
In addition to physical shielding , which is integrated into the cable design, the wires are spun at a short distance, which counteracts the alternating magnetic field that, according to the physical law of inductance, always surrounds a current-carrying cable. This measure also reduces the absorption of incident interference fields.
The advantages are less noise that is picked up by the cable, less noise that is caused by the cable itself, and less noise that is transmitted to neighboring cables, such as the cable . B. low-level connections are infected. You'll notice cleaner sound, more pronounced transients, richer fine details, a quiet background and an improved 3D sound image. When your devices are installed with Supra cables and connected in phase with the power cables, the noise floor is typically suppressed by several dB, allowing much more of the content to be heard. This is of course even more true for lovers of high-resolution media, where the large amount of additional detail quality is often bought at the price of four times the amount of data, which ultimately is of little importance if all this extra is lost on the way to your ears or eyes. Low-radiation cables are also becoming increasingly important from a health perspective. Science has proven that alternating magnetic fields influence cell growth.
The LoRad MkII now includes Supra's unique carbon/nylon shielding concept. The semiconductive carbon/nylon shield features improved properties, flexural strength, insensitivity to environmental influences, higher tensile strength and lower microphonics. The carbon/nylon shield is connected to a drain wire along its entire length, which efficiently conducts the noise trapped in the shield to ground. We have tested and evaluated every known type of shielding to make the best cable possible. Supra's semi-conductive carbon/nylon shield was the only one that met strict safety requirements and also had the best shielding properties available. LoRad MkII has been tested and certified by Intertek Sweden and meets the European safety standard HD21.5 S3.
Features and benefits
- LoRad stands for low radiation of alternating electric and magnetic fields and keeps you and your family free from harmful influences
- The shielding protects your devices from radiated networks and RF recordings and allows you to enjoy the full potential of your hi-fi system or television
- The twisting of the conductor cores with a short distance cancels out the alternating magnetic fields and does not infect neighboring connections with feedback
- LoRad ensures cleaner sound, a better picture and a healthier living and working environment with less exposure to harmful fields
- Unbeatable price/performance ratio
- Made in Sweden!
Note
The cable must be connected to a wall socket with a ground connection for the LoRad effect to be fully effective.
