The housing of the SP3000T Copper is made of more than 99.98% pure copper with an additional multi-layer coating that ensures that the beautiful color and noble shine are retained without any special care. Copper is known for its excellent sound transmission and resonance properties, which gives the SP3000T Copper a particularly beautiful tone color and a high level of detail.
 
The Astell&Kern SP3000T is a unique fusion of analog charm and digital precision. At the heart of the SP3000T are two vintage vacuum tubes that are part of an innovative triple amp system. Originally introduced with the SP2000T in 2021, this system allows users to tailor their listening experience to their personal preferences by choosing between tube amplification, digital amplification, or a mix of both.
 
The SP3000T's tube amplifier technology produces a warm and inviting sound reminiscent of classic tube amplifiers. This is complemented by a specially developed operational amplifier that has been optimized for Astell&Kern digital audio players over the years and is characterized by crystal clear playback, minimal noise and dynamic sound. The hybrid amplifier mode uses the strengths of both worlds to create a new sound quality that combines the fine nuances of analogue with the precision of digital output.
 
An outstanding feature of the SP3000T is the strict separation of the digital and analog signal paths, which is made possible by the use of AKM's latest high-end DAC, the AK4499EX, in combination with the AK4191EQ, a dedicated digital delta-sigma modulator. This innovative architecture results in unique sound purity by minimizing digital noise. The operation of the SP3000T is ensured by a Snapdragon 6125 octa-core processor and 8GB DDR4 RAM, which ensures smooth and fast operation.
