The Black Hole is SHOZY's most advanced in-ear design in 2020, developed in collaboration with the KOOK™ Electro-Acoustic Engineering Lab from the USA and uses patented acoustic technologies. This compact, semi-open dynamic design utilizes various results from acoustic research and, more importantly, many field tests and adjustments comparing the output with actual live performances in live halls and recording facilities.

After more than two years of meticulous tuning and reshaping, the team achieves an incredibly realistic, extremely spacious staging that places you right in the show and naturally extracts the atmosphere as well as many micro-details and qualities that are usually lost in portable audio playback, while maintaining precise positioning and extremely low distortion across all frequencies. It goes without saying that the background is as dark as a black hole, as long as your outputs are clean.

The Black Hole captures the momentum and energy of instruments and vocals in the most effortless and authentic way and reproduces them. You can experience its power in the detailed playback of large orchestral ensembles, which record a wide range of instruments with lively, fast, and layered bass attacks and expansive highs. The soundstage effortlessly spans wide without compressing the height or deepening the voice. The vocal imaging is clearly positioned and centered with realistic reconstruction of tone and energy, with very little coloration.


Technical Highlights and Acoustic Design

1.) Front Chamber Construction

Consisting of multiple circular mechanical damping elements, the nozzle minimizes standing waves by actively controlling the formation of nodes. Similar to concert halls, these are effective measures to reduce distortion and coloration, making sound reproduction and dispersion more pleasant and harmonious. Without acoustic treatment, you will notice a duller sound and distorted vocal imaging.

2.) Patented Multi-Separation Technology (M.S.T.)

A series of acoustic measures are implemented aiming to deliver extremely low distortion over a wide frequency range while withstanding high sound pressure levels. The implementation also promotes extremely smooth articulation and a natural, fast response that closely matches real sound reactions. You will reproduce your music in the most transparent way without sounding clinical or too flat.

3.) Ergonomically shaped to fit all ears

The thickness of the Black Hole's metal housing has been carefully calculated and processed to avoid burdening your cymbal / cavum. The compact size fits comfortably in most people's ear concha, and the housing is part of the resonance chamber design.

4.) High durability & acoustic quality

The full-metal housing of the Black Hole is made from high-quality aluminum alloys, which, when properly shaped and assembled with the driver, offer high durability and fine acoustic qualities. The high-precision machining and processing are achieved through in-house manufacturing and strict QC standards, ensuring high stability on the assembly line and minimal unit variance.

5.) Anodizing and finishing

After fine polishing, the surface of the SHOZY Black Hole is anodized to achieve a smooth, semi-matte finish. This is less prone to scratches and reflects elegantly.

6.) High-quality alloys are braided to form the main cable of the Black Hole with finely crafted metal parts.
