DIAPHRAGM CONSTRUCTION
In a world of fast-paced technology, we rely on proven fundamentals. Our new dynamic 50mm driver, assembled and tuned with the highest precision, enabled us to push the boundaries of speed, accuracy, and dynamic range.
To achieve the acoustic goals we set for the 109 PRO, we concentrated our research and development work on material research for each individual component of the driver.
The effort to maximize the headphone's sonic capabilities began with the diaphragm, where we focused on finding the perfect balance between mass and stiffness.
Our research led to the development of the Dual-Composite diaphragm of the 109 series - a combination of beryllium-coated polymer and cellulose carbon fiber composite.
The stabilization ring made of a copper-zinc alloy serves to improve vibration absorption, with the choice of materials contributing to a significant reduction in distortion.
Next to the two are the lightweight and efficient neodymium magnet and the copper coil. Together, they are housed in a CNC-machined, high-precision aluminum frame that has proven to be extremely reliable.
The high damping properties of beryllium also help suppress unwanted resonances, giving the 109 PRO its neutral, lively, and transparent character.
The diaphragm, together with the neodymium magnet, is housed in a highly precise aluminum frame. The CNC-machined frame offers excellent stiffness, strength, and thermal stability to maintain surface flatness.
ACOUSTIC DESIGN
Carefully tuned by our in-house engineering team, it offers an emotionally engaging sound with great detail, clarity, and just the right amount of pressure. Its organic character, combined with outstanding dynamics, excellent imaging, and full-bodied voices, brings soul-stirring details to life. It can also be easily driven by most devices, whether portable sources or complex home systems.
The spider-shaped structure and the acoustically transparent grille inside the ear cup expose the driver from both sides, resulting in our most open radiation pattern to date.
Velour cushions comfortably surround the ears and provide an optimal seal to create a natural sound. Since velour is much softer and more breathable than leather, it also prevents sweating and overheating during longer listening sessions.
The self-adjusting headband distributes the weight, ensuring even pressure for every head shape and size.

From this perspective, we have combined walnut wood, zinc, manganese steel, and vegan leather into a comfortable, lightweight, yet extremely durable structure.
