In the Chronicles of Legends, each chapter bears a name and the figure it represents, who have entered EFFECT AUDIO's history through craftsmanship and sound. Among them, Leonidas has long been popular with audiophiles for its balance between refinement and authority, making it an icon of the series.
With Leonidas Z, this legacy continues. Made from the precious metals that define our greatest works – silver, gold, and palladium – it features a structure that conveys both grandeur and precision. While Centurion II reaches its peak with a platinum-silver alloy, Leonidas Z conveys a vision of greatness and sophistication through a palladium-silver alloy, a creation positioned directly below the flagship in the EA product range.
Now this guardian is reborn. Leonidas Z carries on the legacy of its line but speaks with new presence and represents a true revival of the legend.
A Masterful Composition
At the heart of Leonidas Z is UP-OCC Pure Silver with Central Solid-Core, a continuous conductor design that eliminates the gaps found in conventional multi-strand constructions. This ensures a purer signal flow, lower resistance, and greater stability across the entire frequency range, forming the foundation for why this cable can profoundly influence the sound.
The result is uncompromising clarity and speed, with added airiness and definition. On this core is applied UP-OCC gold-plated silver, enriching the mid and upper midrange with warmth, body, and a natural sweetness in the vocals. The composition is rounded off by a UP-OCC palladium-silver alloy that refines the upper treble with remarkable finesse, enhances image precision, and opens the soundstage.
It is especially effective at revitalizing overly warm IEMs, yet versatile enough not to overpower them. Each piece is refined with hand stitching, a detail that completes more than just the form but also expresses the discipline and continuity that characterize the Chronicles of Legends. The same calf leather is used for the carrying case, a conscious homage to the heritage.
