The Idealist returns
The original Soloist, introduced in 2005, was a bit rough. Nevertheless, the Soloist made a name for itself with its fully discrete circuitry, ladder volume control, and Class-A amplification, turning Burson from a band of idealists into a brand that stands for ideals.
The Soloist returns, grown-up and civilized, without forgetting his humble working-class origins. He returns to shake the aristocracy of the audio industry with his sense of performance and affordability for the working class.
Amazing Performance
The Soloist 3X performance outputs 8000mW in XLR and 4000mW single-ended. Yet it can drive headphones with a sensitivity of up to 110db without noticeable power noise. There is simply nothing comparable on the market.
The key to this enormous performance and pitch-black background are 3 sets of Burson's proprietary Max Current Power Supplies (MCPS) Learn More [+], which deliver instant, abundant, and clean power to the fully discrete and Class-A circuits.
Elite Volume Control
The Soloist uses the legendary volume control MUSES72320. The same control also used in the aristocrats of the industry like the Pass Lab XP-30, the AVM Ovation, and other high-end flagship preamplifiers.
Since the MUSE72320 is a resistor ladder circuit, it has perfect channel balance and separation, resulting in a phenomenal soundstage. Combined with three amplifier stages and our input buffer stage, the Soloist fits perfectly with any headphone and speaker amplifier.
Headphone Amplifier Mode
Less is more, and that is the truth, even when using the best components in the signal path. Although the MUSE72320 is an incredible volume control, we let you bypass it if your DAC or preamplifier already controls the volume.
You can also use the Soloist X to amplify the driving force of your favorite sound card while centralizing the volume control of your preferred playback software or games. It would be the ultimate upgrade for any listening and gaming experience.
Confident, but never egocentric
The Soloist is confident and self-assured, yet he still plays according to your preferences. It promotes opamp rolling with gold-plated DIP8 sockets in its signal path. With the countless available audio opamps, you have complete freedom to create a unique listening experience.
Listening Experience
The Soloist, who never stands out, is not an extravagant showman but a phenomenal performer rediscovering your favorite songs. With precision, he makes his way even through the most demanding works, revealing micro-details that make the music magical and exposing the emotional core in the rhythms. With our blood and tradition in the veins, the Burson Soloist 3X returns to entertain a new generation of listeners.
