TSURANAGI-V2
TSURANAGI-V2 is a version 2 model improved based on feedback from TSURANAGI.
The three main changes are "6dB gain reduction", "Change in volume curve" and "Switch to laser engraving".
1. Gain reduced by 6 dB Target: A new resistor with a different residual noise rejection value is used.
As a result, the gain level has dropped, making it difficult to feel sounds even with highly sensitive earphones.
Reducing the gain from 10.5 dB to 4.5 dB allowed the noise be reduced by 45%.
If the gain is lowered, it will be difficult to secure the sound pressure, but we believe it is sufficient for modern players due to the high output power.
At 10.5 dB, we assumed that hundreds of Ω headphones could be used with low-power players, so we set the gain to high.
2. Changing the volume curve Purpose: Improve easy volume adjustment
In the past, the curve rose quickly in the low volume range, but it was difficult to adjust it with high-sensitivity headphones, so we changed it to one linear curve converted. There is no change in the minimum and maximum volume.
3. Switching to laser engraving Purpose: Improve the durability of the print
Printing on traditional cases could be scratched. TSURANAGI-V2 is laser engraved and the durability has been greatly improved. The print design has also been changed to make it easier.
TSURANAGI portable amplifier was designed as a testing device for the development of Brise Audio's high-end headphone cables and high-end portable line cables (mini-mini cables) to create an ideal portable audio environment.
For the internal wiring, Brise Audio cables are used, and the electromagnetic wave absorbing shielding material and CNT (carbon nanotubes) used in our high-end cables such as MURAKUMO and YATONO are installed on the board to to further improve the sound quality.

Product concept
In response to the recent increase in the number of playback devices with balanced LINE OUTs and balanced drive for headphones and earphones, Brise Audio has developed a portable amplifier with ideal balanced input/output for the development of mini-mini cables and re -Cables developed.
To allow connection to conventional playback devices, an unbalanced 3-pin 3.5mm input is also provided, which is internally converted to a high-precision balanced signal before being output.
Both 5-pin 4.4 mm and 4-pin 2.5 mm connectors are available as outputs. The design is based on low distortion and low noise, with the aim of reproducing all the information from the source.
Low power of any of the circuits, from input to output, results in poor overall performance, so low-distortion and low-noise circuits and components are used in all signal processing circuits.
The high input impedance of 1 MΩ also minimizes distortion at the Output of the upstream player.
A differential line receiver precisely converts the balanced signal into an unbalanced one to eliminate extraneous noise and ensure clean playback even in noisy outdoor areas.
The amplifier's central composite amplifier performs single-ended to balanced signal conversion and current amplification simultaneously.
Distortion is further reduced by incorporating a current feedback amplifier into the feedback loop of all differential operational amplifiers.
The power supply circuit uses ultra-low noise and ultra-high PSRR regulators and powers each channel independently.
A six-layer circuit board is used to eliminate common impedance and improve signal quality in terms of layout.
As in the development of our cables, TSURANAGI pays attention to high sound performance, wide bandwidth, none Sound distortions and a low background noise.
In addition, we design our cables with the aim of minimizing the impact of the external environment and getting as much performance as possible out of the devices, both in terms of sound quality and performance.
TSURANAGI is a reference for our cable development environment, and we tried to develop an amplifier that does not affect the performance and sound quality of the cable. Cables are also designed so that they do not become bottlenecks in the system, which is why we want to raise the bar internally.
News & Highlights
News in the amplifiers include an amplifier bandwidth of 2 Hz to 200 kHz to ensure flat reproduction in the audible range of 20 Hz to 20 kHz.
The differential DC servo amplifier detects the differential DC current of the balanced output and returns it to all differential operational amplifiers so that the offset is zero.
This reduces the DC offset of the output to +/-50 µV and allows for the elimination of coupling capacitors on the input side. The OPAMPs used in the DC servo amplifiers are also extremely powerful, low noise products to ensure that the sound quality is not compromised.
In the unlikely event that a DC offset occurs, the onboard microcontroller detects this and protects the headphones.
All power supply decoupling capacitors in the signal processing circuits use film capacitors and conductive polymer aluminum capacitors.
To ensure sound quality, all components are carefully checked and used without regard to cost.
Uncompromising power supply
Independent power supply circuits are incorporated to ensure thorough separation of L-channel and R-channel and provide a margin of power supply capacity.
The switching regulator and the linear regulator alone have a current capacity that reaches up to the maximum power rating of the amplifier. In addition, the controllers are powered independently of each other, so that they can also follow a momentary current consumption.
Both power supplies are generated from the battery voltage using switching regulators, which are designed to be very low-noise thanks to a switching frequency of 2 MHz and large output capacitors for switching regulators.
The purpose of generating both power supplies is to eliminate coupling capacitors on the output side and provide low distortion operation due to the high supply voltage.
Operational amplifiers are typically operated at +/- 15V, but there the power loss is not negligible when the voltage is increased to this level, +/- 9.3V was used to ensure battery life.
In the stage after the switching regulator, an ultra- High-performance linear regulator is provided, which thoroughly removes the remaining switching noise and ensures low-noise playback.
These linear regulators are capable of removing noise down to the high frequency bandwidth, so that even 2 MHz switching noise is reliably eliminated.
Two of the six layers are used for power, with positive and negative layers separated and a GND layer in between to avoid interference.
Like the power supply, the GND wiring is wired at one level to reduce impedance, while the signal GND and power GND not only between channels but also within channels up to The GND is grounded at a single point to the aluminum chassis, eliminating GND loops and suppressing external electromagnetic interference be.
