The A&norma series was designed to enjoy Astell&Kern's premium sound in a portable format with top-tier specifications.
The SR25 MKII, the predecessor model of the series, was loved by audio enthusiasts and those just beginning their personal audio journey thanks to its portable size and powerful hi-fi sound through a balanced 4.4mm jack.
The A&norma SR35 inherits these strengths and applies the amplifier and audio design used in Astell&Kern's premium products to deliver the authentic sound quality Astell&Kern is known for. The ultra-compact SR35 offers 20 hours of uninterrupted playback, supports a quad DAC and two-stage gain control, and is the first introduction of the New Generation Amp technology in the A&norma line with Astell&Kern's long-standing expertise for even finer and clearer hi-fi sound at higher performance.
We have also applied our new UI/UX with improved visuals and usability to the SR35 to enable an even more immersive music experience. Additionally, the SR35 is equipped with Roon Ready and MQA decoder support to further enhance the performance of our A&norma line.

New features added to the A&norma player line with the SR35 include:
Quad DAC with Quad/Dual Switch Mode
The SR35 is an upgrade of the popular SR25 MK II, released in 2021. Like the SR25 MK II, the SR35 features Cirrus Logic's 43198 MasterClass DACs, but with four additional DACs. A Dual/Quad DAC switch mode allows the user to adjust and improve energy management efficiency by switching between using two DACs or all four DACs during playback, enabling longer continuous playback time on a single charge. In Dual DAC mode, the SR35 supports up to 20 hours of continuous playback on a single charge.
2-stage Gain Mode
The two-stage gain mode allows perfect adjustment to a variety of headphones and IEMs, ensuring optimal sound reproduction. The two-stage gain setting with "Normal Gain" and "High Gain" modes can produce a high output current to achieve powerful sound and excellent driver control. With up to 6 Vrms at the balanced outputs, it has never been easier to drive high-impedance headphones.
Astell&Kern 4th Generation Graphical User Interface
First introduced with the flagship A&ultima SP3000, the SR35 features Astell&Kern's newly developed 4th generation UX/UI, focusing on the process and experience of listening to music.
The new design focuses on rediscovering songs you forgot; with simple gestures, you can quickly browse through music categories. A convenient search function was added along with album covers, so you can enjoy a digital display of the CD covers of your music collection. It is meant not only to bring you joy in listening to music but also to make using the device fun.
With the new Crimson Theme, one of the main features of the 4th generation UI, the graphics are simple and unobtrusive, focusing on user-friendliness and intuitiveness. Three key concepts, Edge, Simple, and Dark Mode, were used to enhance usability.
