PHILOSOPHY

Our goal was to create an IEM to enjoy with the new Pneuma.
Thanks to the dynamic 7 mm titanium driver, which is responsible for the low bass frequencies, the low frequencies are more pronounced and punchy than any other other Lime Ears monitor. The sparkling high end makes for a very dynamic yet sophisticated sound signature that is very enjoyable to listen to.
In terms of design, we really wanted to create something inspired by nature.

As this is a hybrid design with a dynamic driver, we focused on the concept of dynamics. We envisioned the colour-changing, molten lava red as a color of dynamism.
With that in mind, we wanted the Pneuma to look dynamic, flavorful and sophisticated at the same time, pushing our boundaries of design creation further than ever.< /p>

THE SWITCH

The switch changes the level of the lowest frequencies (about 3-6dB<100Hz). You can also use it to make changes depending on:

hearing level - to use the Fletcher-Munson law (at lower listening levels the bass can be boosted to make it more audible)the level and quality of the bass in the recording (if the bass is recorded well it can be boosted, but if the material is improperly mixed and the bass is booming and out of control it can be cut) the outside noise (if If you use your monitors in a noisy environment, such as on an airplane or subway, where the low-pitched sounds are drowned out by the noise, you may want to relocate the monitors).

TONALITY

The design is inspired by sacred geometry, but the tonality is a completely different approach. Compared to our neutral and natural Aether R, the Pneuma sounds more pronounced, lively and direct. In the "neutral" switch position, Pneuma sounds very similar to the Aether R, with a stronger emphasis on sub-bass and treble.

When the switch is on you get all the goodness and physical punch as the dynamic driver is opened up a bit. In this switch position, the Pneuma is a monster of musicality and produces a very lively and spectacular sound.
