HR player with R ö hearing and transistor output

The new Cayin N3 Pro gives its owner the choice. The HR player offers two options for sound tuning. With his timbre selector he routes the audio signal via a circuit branch with vacuum r ö hre or transistor (via the 3.5 mm jack output). There is also a dual R ö operating mode: triode and ultra-linear (via the 3.5 mm jack output). This means that everyone can subtly adapt the sound to their H ö r habits.

Behind the R ö hren level there is a pair of selected JAN6418-R ö hren, which are protected against vibrations and shocks by silicon bearings and flexible circuit boards. The small, economical, directly heated pentodes also meet military specifications. The audiophile hi-res player can also prove itself in outdoor use. Double Asahi Kasei AK4493 DACs decode up to 32 bit / 384 kHz and DSD256 natively. After the D / A conversion, the signal goes through a fully balanced circuit with 4.4 mm and 3.5 mm headphone outputs.

The powerful symmetrical headphone output provides up to 800 mW at 32 Ω and thus also drives low-efficiency headphones. The Cayin N3 Pro also provides two line and two digital outputs and can be operated as a USB DAC on a PC. On top of that, the pocket player allows Hi-Res Bluetooth transmission DAC (LDAC, UAT, AAC).

Operation is via a 3.2-inch touch screen with clear menus that is easy to read from the side. A multi-colored LED completes the user feedback. The window, which gives a view of the glowing R ö hren, is only used to increase the pleasure of the solidly designed, 195 gram player.
